This was at work on a severely locked down English copy of Windows XP. I modified the startup location about a year ago because I didn't have write access to the default startup folder of Word. I'm actually a bit surprised that the plugin did instal…
-
I had the same problem. The Word plugin wasn't installed in the right location. In my case I looked for both Zotero.dot files, and replaced the older copy (1.0b4, created in 2008) in the right location with the newer one (3.0a1, created in august 20…

Another +1 for creator case transform.

The syncing feature is only present in the 2.0 beta releases (current version 2.0b6), available from the home page. I presume you're still running 1.0.10?

Can't find an example (maybe I imagined it). Some older comments of mine: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/4418/in-press-as-item-type/?Focus=18977#Comment_18977

I think there are a couple of styles that output "in print", but only when the date field is entirely empty. In that case the string is hard-coded though, so you couldn't use "in print", "submitted" and "accepted" at the same time for different item…

I guess the "and" is a different issue as it's between the surnames. Yes. The "(eds)" is applied via a label element, so it already has its own formatting instructions.
-
I get the desired output when I put the font-variant="small-caps" on the name element (instead of on the names element, where it would also affect the label). Also, the problem with the "and"-term will be solved with CSL 1.0, as that will allow for…

Perhaps it’s necessary to choose en option in “Parser” Selecting one of the two XML-options in the Parser drop-down menu does the trick for me. It only seems necessary when using the text field.

You have to use this link for the schema: http://xbiblio.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/xbiblio/csl/schema/tags/0.8/csl.rnc The link adamsmith provided links to a html page which the validator won't understand.

5) You would indeed need to redefine one of the terms. See http://www.zotero.org/styles/mhra_note_without_bibliography to see an example of how this is done. In your case the terms-element will look like (assuming your locale is English): …

But adding that interface to such a tight interface is, I don't think, such an obvious thing. There's just not much space. Maybe shortcuts could be used? E.g. ctrl-i would italicize selected text in the metadata panel? Or perhaps a customized menu c…

Let me know if you think I've missed anything big, or if any of this will be useless in a few weeks(?) when CSL 1.0 is launched onto the world! I haven't look at everything in detail, but it looks like a welcome addition to the documentation. Also, …

We can have it download the other files, but, Rintze & Co., what's the current version that we should be validating against for styles in the repo? Version 0.8 of the CSL schema is indeed what Zotero currently supports. I think the only discrepa…

The sort-element must be included before the layout-element. The documentation that will be released with the new schema will discuss this. Also, the trunk schema was indeed invalid (https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/xbiblio/changeset/1169).

If you have a lot of rich markup in your titles, you can also use this workaround: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/3875/rich-text-in-titles/?Focus=26555#Comment_26555
-
(how do you guys do that pasting code into a box thing!) Use some text for blockquotes, and some text for code blocks. You have to set the format of the comments to HTML as well.
-
Assuming you're using Harvard Reference format 1 (Author-Date), you should delete the line in the CSL style.
-
You're validating against the development version of the CSL schema, which isn't (yet) supported by Zotero. Try this link: http://xbiblio.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/xbiblio/csl/schema/tags/0.8/csl.rnc (I'll update the documentation on the wiki as …
-
Note that the links adamsmith provided above point to the most recent version of CSL, which currently isn't supported by Zotero. Version 0.8 of CSL, which (for the most part) is what Zotero uses right now, can be found here: http://xbiblio.svn.sour…

Ah, right. I was referring to automatic localization when using 'quotes="true"'. You can already add quotes manually by setting them as prefixes and suffixes. You would have to escape them though (http://www.xmlnews.org/docs/xml-basics.html#referenc…
-
The new CSL processor that is being developed for Zotero will support both localization of quotes and interpunctuation. Zotero currently supports neither feature.
-
Rintze's markup-and-macro solution is a good workaround for now, but not ideal given that many titles, etc will have to be-reentered when a fix is finally settled upon. The 'fix' in the upcoming updated CSL processor will be based on the same set of…
-
For now: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/3875/rich-text-in-titles/?Focus=26555#Comment_26555 The new Zotero CSL processor (used to generate bibliographies) that is currently being developed should support the same tags, and will let you circumv…

This is fixed in the most recent version (2.0b6.5). Try updating Zotero via Firefox's Addons Window (accessible via the Tools-menu).
-
when titles have quotes="true" how do you make the suffix="." appear outside the quotes? The upcoming 1.0 release of CSL will allow for this, but for now it isn't possible.
-
And no also to your last question - this has long been debated, but I don't know the current state of that debate Semantic markup is off the table (for now). The new citeproc-js CSL processor that is scheduled for inclusion in Zotero will support th…

Note that the "et al." in italics and without period is not currently possibleYou're right about the former, but the latter should already be possible by redefining the et-al term in the locale section of the style, e.g. et al …

It's one of the new features of CSL 1.0 (which will require the new CSL processor). The plan is to release some upgrade notes with all the changes once CSL 1.0 goes live. Until then, the draft can be found at: https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/xbibl…

It looks like a problem with the CSL engine in Zotero. Can't find any fault with the style.
