It seems fbennett put up the wrong version. Best wait until he wakes up in a few hours (he's based in Japan). You can reinstall the style from the style repository in the meantime if you wish.
-
Download fbennett's style (it's the "raw" link: https://raw.github.com/gist/2653175/07f897b7888da5befaf99091fb2c0e0ed52ffee2/chicago-note-bibliography-for-testing.csl ) and install the style: http://www.zotero.org/support/styles#installing_additiona…

for the less common spaces, using numeric entities is clearer than using Unicode characters directly. I have been pretty-printing the styles in the CSL style repository to get consistent indentation, but my current script unescapes any escaped unico…

For hearing, maybe use balance-unbalance (fugue) in a different color? Also, I prefer the light-bulb icon from fugue over the lightbulb one from famfamfam for patents.

This has been a longstanding bug, and I reported a potential fix for it in January: https://github.com/citation-style-language/utilities/commit/d36ad92d528489efcf95ebecd27418df2b21a246

Also, @telagraham, could you install the latest version of the "Chicago Manual of Style (note)" style from http://www.zotero.org/styles and check whether you get the same sort order?
-
@adamsmith, could you reproduce the problem with http://www.zotero.org/styles/chicago-note-bibliography? I get the same sort order as Frank with Zotero Standalone 3.0.7 under Windows XP.
-
Maybe this should go into a separate thread, but I was also wondering if we couldn't come up with a better icon for the Locate menu in the right column of the Zotero pane. I find the current green arrow easy to miss and very nondescript. Maybe the "…

Are you in a hurry? If not, it's likely that @fbennett will tackle what seems to be a bug and fix this for the next version of Zotero. If you are, I can describe the style fix in more detail or supply an already modified style.
-
So the problem is that the references aren't sorted correctly by author (or editor). Can you reproduce the problem in a fresh Word document? Could you follow adamsmith's instructions above and generate Zotero RDF for the items in your example, and …

Committed. Thanks carhogg.

That indeed looks strange. Which Chicago Manual of Style style variant are you using? (I want to know the full style name)
-
@adamsmith, citation-number should always hold the index of the bibliographic entry in the bibliography, so this should be possible.
-
(the "DOI" CSL variable should be capitalized; "doi" is invalid)
-
Do you enter these presentations by hand into your Zotero library? If so, you can save time by entering the first two names, changing the creator type of the second name to "contributor" and then adding the other names. These should then appear as c…

We already have (the outdated) http://www.zotero.org/support/locate, so I'm not sure we need a http://www.zotero.org/support/lookup_engines page. And if there is too much content for one page, maybe http://www.zotero.org/support/locate/lookup_engin…

Do you need to transfer (a lot of) files as well, or just the item metadata? In general, you're better off with syncing or just making a copy of your Zotero data directory.
-
adamsmith and erazlogo are more knowledgeable about citing video material, but I don't see any problems with adding a "director" name variable to CSL if the need for it is clear. It seems like a distinct enough role.
-
Fine with me (I don't use reports :P). It's just that the documentation for reports (which hadn't been touched since 2009) used to say "a student can create a full report of their Zotero Library" which might create expectations that this would be po…

Other than using asterisks (or some other string like " [+]"), the only other solution I can think of is using a hierarchical menulist, which seems to be possible using XBL: http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.mozilla.devel.xpfe/5350 Not sure impl…

Also, wouldn't it be clearer to use "Remove Selected Item(s) from Collection" instead of "Remove Selected Item(s)" when right-clicking item(s) in the center pane when a collection is selected in the left column? There have been multiple reports of u…

You cannot directly save or install styles from the reference test pane. If you have made changes in the pane, selected all the code and copy and paste it into TextEdit. In TextEdit, save the code to a file with a ".csl" extension, and then drag tha…
-
Did you try "Save the style with a ”.csl” file extension, and drag-and-drop the CSL style file onto an open Firefox browser window, and click the “Install” button", as is described at http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/style_editing_s…

And perhaps for Audio Recording, use the microphone icon? iPods with scroll wheels are on their way out :)
-
For hearings, maybe the quill icon would work better internationally?
-
Did the titles change to lower case within your Zotero library, or in your thesis word processor document? If the latter, which citation style are you using?
-
Unless future editions of ICIS use the same style, I'm not sure it makes sense to put the style in the style repository, as the appeal would be rather limited.
-
Just curious: the style is for ICIS 2011, and it's 2012 now. Is it meant to be used for ICIS 2012?
-
Try reinstalling the style from the Zotero Style Repository. In Zotero 3.0.4 statutes are handled differently, and existing CSL styles were updated to cope with that. See http://www.zotero.org/support/3.0_changelog http://forums.zotero.org/discuss…

There are some additional problems with the Advanced Search window. I think it's (eventually) due for a redesign though, from what I picked up on the forums.
