You could check if Firefox by any chance also left a copy of the old profile in its original place. See http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data for instructions on how to find your profile folder(s). If there are …

http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems says 'After the reset is finished, your old Firefox profile information will be placed on your desktop in a folder named "Old Firefox Data."'. Can you find that folder? It sh…

You mean like Zotpress? http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/zotpress/
-
No, Zotero doesn't support the Citavi style format, and it's not possible to convert a CCS file to a CSL one.
-
For custom styles the style ID doesn't have to be a URL (any text will do), but an ID is required since it's how Zotero identifies the style.
-
@gestauffer, make sure that the style is placed outside of the "styles" directory (e.g. move it to the desktop) before you try to install. You can also check whether your modified copy is valid CSL (see https://github.com/citation-style-language/sty…

You might also want to ask EndNote support if this can be done. @adamsmith, do you know from the top of your head which Zotero export formats contain collection data?

Vancouver (brackets).

How can it test the mime-type if there isn't a file to begin with?

I sent an email to the xbiblio list for the "is-numeric" (and "is-uncertain-date") issue: http://xbiblio-devel.2463403.n2.nabble.com/Testing-empty-variables-with-quot-is-numeric-quot-and-quot-is-uncertain-date-quot-td7578425.html

I feel like there's been some discussion on this before - Rintze, Frank, do you recall anything? Is the question on whether or not to extend author-substitution to identical names from different name variables? If name labels are discarded for sorti…

The xbiblio discussion related to this issue can be found at http://xbiblio-devel.2463403.n2.nabble.com/Multiple-item-quot-type-quot-conditionals-with-match-quot-all-quot-td7578405.html

I might open a discussion on the xbiblio list to involve all interested parties, but judging from this thread it seems like suppressing the name labels is generally desired, in which case it would make sense to make this the default CSL behavior.

@Dan Stillman, this isn't the first report of a user trying to install files by dropping them in the styles directory. Is there any reason why this couldn't be made to work? Alternatively, perhaps an easy 'fix' would be to place a dummy text file i…

How about a lone hyphen/en-dash/em-dash? See also http://dissertation.laerd.com/style-guides-for-dissertation-titles-p2.php : "A subtitle should be separated using a colon or em dash (i.e., — and not the shorter - en dash) and then a single space (…

Ah, forgot about CMoS requiring title case. I'd prefer for the "dumb" sentence case transform text to capitalize after colon, question mark, and exclamation mark. Yes, that seems like an easy improvement. We could document that in the spec at http:/…
-
@adamsmith, do you still have access to CMoS? I'm wondering what it specifies for subtitle capitalization after colons. Wikipedia suggests that CMoS uses lowercase, which makes this even hard to automate without a CSL preference. http://forums.zote…

Do you have any computers that still have your Zotero library on it?

I wrote a Python script (https://github.com/citation-style-language/utilities/blob/master/csl-reindenting-and-match-fix.py) to fix this issue. Many styles were afflicted: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/commit/b55a9c1704b74a35e9aa5…

The instructions to authors specifically refer to the American Medical Association style for The Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation, so I'm changing the latter to use AMA style. See http://www.elsevier.com/journals/the-journal-of-heart-and-lu…

The change was made 10 months ago based on another user's report: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/22140/style-updated-journal-of-agricultural-and-food-chemistry I checked the journal's sample issue (1st issue of 2013), and it uses superscript i…

We might want to check for styles that use the "type" conditional with two or more item types, and a) without the "match" attribute, or b) with the "match" attribute set to "all". I have no clue if this issue is widespread. Related, Frank recently …

Added to the repository, thanks! https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/commit/595024bbc2ebbd22b6e217dc008174d65595e4f0

You did just that. I'll add it to the repository when I have a chance. Thanks.

There is a superscript variant of Vancouver in the style repository: http://www.zotero.org/styles (search for "Vancouver (superscript)")

The page I linked to shows the validation report for the https://gist.github.com/asplundj/4761891 gist. It shows that there are 3 errors (point 8-10) related to cs:date elements. The problem is all cases is that you've mixed up localizing and non-l…

@asplundj, could you fix these small style errors? http://validator.nu/?doc=https://gist.github.com/asplundj/4761891/raw/ba7f78317b7061303f256b3b5c6abbaa2ccd591c/gistfile1.txt&schema=https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/raw/v1.0.1/…
