Perhaps CMoS gives some guidance. See http://xbiblio-devel.2463403.n2.nabble.com/Locators-tp5927057p5927060.html . It might be used for citing foot or endnotes?

Neuter forms are supported: http://citationstyles.org/downloads/specification.html#gender-specific-ordinals Feminine and masculine variants of the ordinal terms (see Ordinals) may be specified by setting the gender-form attribute to "feminine" or "…

While @adamsmith will handle your proposed changes, the documentation for translating and contributing CSL locale files can be found at http://docs.citationstyles.org/en/latest/translating-locale-files.html . The process for contributing locale file…

Actually, there is an open ticket regarding the "type" condition at https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/issues/108 concerning this issue.
-
Now I understand that not all styles that work validate. So this may or may not be an issue to be addressed. It's rather common in software that some things work, even when a standard (CSL-m, in this case) is not followed to the letter. An well-know…

Yeah, that's not any faster.

I just fixed Langmuir for now. If you find other CSL styles for ACS that are incorrect, let us know.
-
I can confirm the format for Langmuir changed though. But without help from ACS, it will take me some time to recheck all the journals.
-
I've never heard of Zotero doing such a thing. How do you know this happened? Did you see a download for WinZip in your web browser, or did you just discover that it had been installed on your computer?
-
@Fossil Viking, I added some clarifying text to the Zotero documentation: http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/importing_records_from_endnote?do=diff&rev2[0]=1389578077&rev2[1]=&difftype=sidebyside As for your other comments, you have to be…

Did you hear this from an ACS journal editor, or did you discover this by yourself? I'd love to get into contact with somebody from ACS so I don't have to check the instructions of all 45 journals again. Last time I did that (just last month), the …

@fbennett, the value of "punctuation-in-quote" is tied to the locale (set on cs:style-options within cs:locale), right? So it should be possible to define it multiple times.

(you can create a gist via https://gist.github.com/ ; just share the URL here once you've created it)

@Aivil, register at http://transifex.com and request to be added to the Dutch translation team of the zotero project at https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/zotero/language/nl_NL/ . See also the announcements at https://www.transifex.com/projects/p…

@Aivil, I fixed the 'Use Firefox profile folder' translation. If you have any other examples of bad translations, feel free to post them here. You're also more than welcome to participate in the Dutch translation of Zotero. If you're interested, I …

@BobGreene, please abstain from the marketing talk. As @adamsmith already mentioned, the market share of WordPerfect is simply too small to make it worthwhile for the Zotero developers to create a dedicated word processor plugin themselves. E.g. p…

Nature and Vancouver are both numeric styles, so they only have a marker in the text, like [1]. To add a bibliography, you have to use the "Zotero Insert Bibliography" button (see http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_usage ).
-
@Dan, now I get "error: Not Found" instead of previews for all styles.
-
Should be somewhat better now: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/commit/b4ad3ae868f34cbd17f31bd54e184284325abe82 (the updated style will show up in the Zotero Style Repository in about 15 minutes)

Both things should be fixed now: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/commit/ca28a1c9a51d2867e0986476e7ab438f7c133ea0 https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/commit/3e03c254970a71bfbe5742ed1f1079da9da6253e

Answered here: https://groups.google.com/d/msg/pandoc-discuss/gq0rRq4oiro/GyutnLMRP1gJ (the easiest solution would be to ask that all CSL processors map both the "title-short" and "shortTitle" (for legacy reasons) JSON fields to the "title-short" C…

Sorry for that. I reverted the change. Should show up in the style repository in a few minutes.

Thanks. There are a few minor issues with your pull request. See my comments at https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/pull/790#issuecomment-30523456 .

@myqlarson, it's just that I'm not a fan of vulgar language on these forums. 0avasns also seems to have registered for a forum account for the sole purpose of posting this complaint, and with such a negative attitude there isn't much incentive for a…

Added, thanks! https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/commit/5fda121b3b0daddc614ee10ab9fe73ee143ccad0 I had to remove an empty "title" macro for the style to validate, and I made a few changes to the style metadata. Do you know which CS…

Microsoft will also end support (including security patches) for Windows XP in April 2014, so it's probably time to think of a more drastic upgrade altogether.

Yes. That's not pretty either :).

arbitrary v̶a̶r̶i̶a̶b̶l̶e̶s̶ [terms], which would then have to be defined in the locale section at the top Mulling this over a bit more, I don't think we can actually use RELAX NG validation to check whether custom term names, used on cs:text, are a…
