One issue - is there a way to import these without duplicating them in the library? Glad you could use the tool! What is the use case here, exactly? Do you have a document with embedded citations from multiple Zotero libraries (including yours), and…

the online tool by itself won't be able to do that. Actually, assuming there is a way to get the userID of the currently logged-in user (Dan, is this possible via e.g. the API?), you can trivially get a list of item IDs to screen against. See e.g. h…

Great! (in the meantime, http://rintze.zelle.me/ref-extractor/ could be rather easily extended to throw alerts for fields that e.g. are invalid JSON, if anybody is looking for a simple JS coding project)

I'm not sure if 4.0.29.10 used Ffx 38 esr or 45 esr, the two having inherently differed way of handling extensions to my knowledge; if the Ffx core the new 4.0.29.17 based on is an upgrade from say ffx 38 https://www.zotero.org/support/4.0_changelog…
-
@adomasven, it would be great if Zotero could tell the user which citations are corrupted. Making sure the JSON is well-formed and validates against the schema would probably highlight most problematic cases, and such citations could be marked by ch…

It sounds like that Zotero will work in/with the new Firefox and its new API, too? Yes. Going forward, the main Zotero app will only be available as a standalone application (an updated version of the current Zotero Standalone, although it will prob…

(I fully support pushing for "https://doi.org/" as much as possible, but CSL exists in large part because of idiosyncratic requirements, so I don't think we should make the switch across the boards for all displayed DOIs; not really our call)
-
Though, @damnation we should switch the DOI prefix to just "https://doi.org/" in accordance with doi.org and CrossRef display guidelines. (for the CSL repository, we changed all DOI links (i.e., those in the URL formats) to the latest "https://doi.o…

(updated knowledge base article as well)

I was worried that new types would be delayed by differing philosophies among the players in the csl community. For my part, I don't have as much time as I used to have in my younger days to dedicate to CSL development (both because I have less time…

Still think it's worth a try. And doesn't hardware acceleration control layering? Problems with transparent Firefox windows have been reported that could be solved by disabling hardware acceleration: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59…
-
You're the first person to ever report anything like this Well, there was the other user the other day who has some video issues on Windows. @NeilBR, you could try disabling hardware acceleration in Zotero per the instructions in the thread below: …

@wichert, did you install the style via the Zotero Style Repository? (https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:natur-und-landschaft) If I recall correctly, @damnation 's post above used to include a GitHub link to an early version of the style that indee…
-
Sorry, my bad. I wanted to share the style as quick as possible in case you were waiting for it, but that earlier link is now indeed outdated. Best place to get it now is via the Zotero Style Repository.
-
You can refresh all Zotero functions using the "Refresh" button in the Zotero tab/toolbar in Word. This calls the 'ZoteroRefresh' macro in VBA. Presumably you can call the 'ZoteroRefresh' macro in VBA yourself.
-
shunting all Zotfile-related queries to this one thread ... makes it very difficult to find the answer to your specific query, as the thread is obviously now 50 pages long. Given the integral role of Zotfile now to a range of Zotero's functions I wo…

Is this for the Journal of the American Chemical Society?
-
@ehaakonssen, this style is now in the style repository.
-
@Sabine_Lengger, I put up a preliminary version at https://raw.githubusercontent.com/citation-style-language/styles/master/organic-geochemistry.csl [edit: updated link]
-
It's indeed easier for us to review this and make the changes if you submit the modified version to the repository. See https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md. You'd want to make the edit in https://github.com/…
-
Oh, and @italoamericougar, you should be able to get the latest version of this style by clicking the "Update now" button in the General tab of the Zotero preferences (or you can reinstall it from the Zotero Style Repository).
-
Thanks, Dan.
-
(@dstillman, can you take a look? https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles-distribution/commit/d7d3eba6dd29b790e60185c7b9da790e5bd4a3b2 hasn't propagated yet to https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:cornea and it's been close to 2 hours)
-
I made the change in the repository: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/pull/2530 (@damnation, I did this all via GitHub. Add the new style as usual, then navigate to the old dependent style in the feature branch created for the PR a…
-
(@damnation, thanks for switching to these post-merge notifications! By the way, if you hover over the style in the Zotero Style Repository, you should see a "Link" link. Clicking that should change the URL to e.g. https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id…

As far as I can tell the current CSL style, which shows 3 authors for items with 4 or more authors, is correct. See e.g. http://journals.lww.com/ccmjournal/Fulltext/2017/03000/Widespread_Down_Regulation_of_Cardiac.4.aspx, which has: 23. Rowell J, …
-
No. There is currently no way in Zotero and CSL to specify that different items should be treated as part of a greater whole. The only thing you currently can do is cite the entire multi-volume work as a single item, and specify the volume in each …

(second request: it would also be good to leave an additional post when a style has been accepted into the repository. Once a style is in the repository, we don't want people who find the thread later to get lost on the pull request page. Alternativ…
-
(@damnation, maybe you could add a direct link to the style in your posts? Like we saw in the other thread, users probably often will have trouble downloading the style from the pull request page. If you put the branch name in the URL, it will autom…
