Well suspended and restarted and everything is still working, so closing this thread

OK, its working now. I uninstalled the plugin from firefox and then removed it from openoffice. This time when I reinstalled the plugin it said that I was missing openoffice.org-java-common Zotero grabbed it and now it's all working. B…

OK, so I rebooted laptop and the plugin still wouldn't launch. So I'm trying to reinstall it, but it just doesn't get past "Searching for Required Compontents" The Debug ID is D1468498141. One thing - I recently installed python 2.7 coul…

Remove field codes (button to the far right of the zotero toolbar)

No, this is a long standing Firefox bug - I think the devs have mentioned that it might / should be fixable in Firefox 4, but don't really know the status of it (search for drag and drop and broken; it's been broken in 'nix for a while; but as I sai…

Well this does work, at least on Windows 7 using Zotero 2.1rc1 Will try it on linux, later. Regards, Jon

All seems to be fine now, you can close this thread.

blast, afraid of that. Will investigate.

Thanks Dan, that's fixed. Opening new thread for new error.

The behaviour you're describing is standard disambiguation (and you can find plenty of discussion on it if you use this search term). If you are certain that ASA should not disambiguate, then you need to provide a link to some documentation saying …

Woo and an enormous hoo! Very grateful. Thankyou.

If you could, that'd be brilliant.

Is there any update on this? The Project Muse translator (at least the ToC part of it) has been broken for what, 18 months now? Is it just that translator issues are (currently?) bottom of the priority pile? Is it that the Project Muse translat…

HI Peter, well I think the official line is that syncing is no substitute for proper back up, which is fair enough - Zotero isn't offering a back up service. Having said that, yes you can do a restore from the server. [slight caveat about people w…

Well, I suspect, given my own experiences, that 'thriving' is putting it a bit strongly! I am, as it happens, writing this from a seven year old 1.5Ghz laptop running a stripped down linux distro and I'm still maxing the CPU the moment I want to do …

Quick question: what version of Zotero is your daughter using? I thought that 150 limit only affected older versions of Zotero. One way of speeding things up is to delete the bibliography and only insert it right at the end. I've written documents w…

Update: OK, so it installed in a new profile with no problem. So something was being left behind from the initial borked installation. I've kept the broken profile, if you want any further info / attempts to install.

Assuming that you are talking about keeping your local library and a group library in sync, then this is something that is planned. And there have been a few other threads discussing it, e.g. http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/7193/syncing-it…

Hi Frank - ah, thought so, we were talking at cross purposes. In Windows, you can actually drag straight from the Zotero pane to Gmail (which is great because it's one less step). On linux you can't , you have to open a folder and then you can drag …

That works for me on a Windows 7 box. I can drag the attachment straight on to an email in gmail. Which now I know it, is really handy! Haven't tested linux - though I'm guessing this won't work as drag and drop is still broken? [oh and don't you …

Blah - typical web2.0 nonesense. Try telling the academic world that documents aren't something they look at! Having said that, if they manage to get a proper docx filter and handling as a result of this, then I will be cheering libreoffice on. …

Yes, thanks for the fix.

Well to sort of answer my own question: I only had a quick look at fennec on linux as I don't have an android phone. Adding this: {a23983c0-fd0e-11dc-95ff-0800200c9a66} 1.0b 2.0b1pre to zotero's install.rdf was enough to ge…

Other manufacturers are available: Samsung have released / are releasing a tablet that runs android http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-11163687 and fennec (that's firefox for android) is finally beta http://www.mozilla.org/project…

Not without more info, no. Does Amazon work for you? Can you provide a link that does fail?

Think it's broken again. Try here: http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/title~content=g926983316~db=all and here http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/content~db=all~content=a926979871~frm=titlelink Where I got this error: [JavaScr…

Great stuff, thanks.

Ah, have I jumped the gun here - the svn version is 6834 so is it fixed in that one? Don't really want to muck around with svn at the mo. [edit] no probs. Will try tomorrow. Off to pub now!

Hmm, well no luck so far with ubuntu and openoffice, still getting exactly the same [JavaScript Error: "items is not defined" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/integration/editBibliographyDialog.js" line: 159}] that I was getting before zot…

Thanks Simon - do I need to install the Zotero branch, the word processor plug-in branch or both?
