Yes I can confirm that this is true. Looks like editing citations still crashes Firefox unless you have My Library (and not a different collection) selected in Zotero. Still have the problem that it doesn't matter which citation I try to edit, …

Thanks for that tip. I used the database repair tool and that seems to have fixed the crashing problem - but can only edit the first citation now. Sigh, baby steps! Keep up the great work Thanks, Jon.

yup - hence the new problems

Sorry, thought I'd made that clear. Yes its Zotero 1.0rc4 and the 1.0b1 plugin. Firefox 2.0.0.8 OpenOffice 2.3 on Windows XP

Actually, I've just realised that its probably just as easy to have my temp folder open, so I can simply drag newly downloaded files from there. So this isn't really such a necessary suggestion.

I think it must be a problem with the document, as when I have another newly created document open at the same time, I can insert citations, create a bibliography and refresh the new one, but the old one keeps giving me the communication problem.

OK, additional weirdness: I tried opening a new blank document to see if I could add a new citation and got this error: BASIC runtime error. An exception occred Type.com.sun.star.lang.IllegalARgumentException Message: . Function fnRangeComp(m1, m2)…

Hi Dan, I normally drag and drop files when I'm adding attachments. I believe this always stores a copy. Is there a way / preference setting so that drag and drop links rather than stores the file? Thanks, Jon.

Brilliant. Everything is displaying correctly now. Many thanks again Jon.

If I've understood you correctly, all you need to do is when you enter in a new reference there is a box to the right of the page/paragraph/line option where you can type whatever you want and it will be retained after you refresh.

Hi Ian. Is this just the latest version of Zotero, or is there a new plug-in too? I've installed RC3, but no joy with the É, or fancy apostrophes and the bibliography long dashes came out wrong too. I didn't know there might be a font problem th…

Ah thanks, should have checked the forums more carefully. The milestone to ix this, is down as 1.0 final. Do you know if that is right?

Just to confirm I have encountered the same problem after creating a blank test document. It didn't happen until citation number 30. It does seem to be the number of citations that is causing the problem. I tried different styles but no joy. After 3…

Got it, playing with it now. Thanks so much.

This may be jumping the gun, having just installed RC1 - in the documentation (version history) it says that OpenOffice support is now added. Is this right? Keep up the great work!

Can I just confirm that I have this problem too. Plus the warning message will not go away, so I have to hard exit firefox.
-
That's great news. Many thanks, Jon.

Hi Sean, yes sorry to say I still can't save this article from OVID. Is there any further information I could provide that would be useful? I am using what I think is the latest version 1.0.0b4.r5

Hi, I'd like to confirm that I can't save OVID refernces too. I first tried saving some references from a particular issue of the Journal of Abnormal Psychology. Zotero suggested that I contact the translator author. I then tried saving a specific …
