OK, I've submitted report id 1503211275 Problem seems to be that these files have gone walkabout somehow. If I click show file, Zotero can't find them but thinks that they're still attached somehow. I suspect that this is linked to an earlier pr…

I'm getting the same problem. 1.5a1.r4172 [JavaScript Error: "An internal server error occurred. Please try again later." {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/sync.js" line: 1411}] [JavaScript Error: "[Exception... "'Invalid response from server'…

Hi Dan, I think it's occurred again. Report id. 995576895. I've sent the debug to support. Zotero 1.5a1.r4041. Regards, Jon. OK, finally tracked down the problem entry, modified it and it's all working again now.

Hi Dan, I just got this error too. 964631727 Zotero 1.5a1.43026 I've emailed the debug to support. Is there still no way round it other than uploading everything back to the server? Regards, Jon.

Any progress on this, as it's still broken. http://0-www.springerlink.com.pugwash.lib.warwick.ac.uk/content/4512393427319217/?p=9d4786a905b546aaaafe23ab6ca8db23&pi=0 Regards, Jon.

Hi Dan, well it just synced no problem at all. Maybe it was a temporary box.net issue. As for the four files - I can't really help here. I didn't note down which four they were. But they were fairly old files that I don't recall editing or even r…

Hi Dan, this seems to be broken again. The trunk XPI is stuck on r3871. Regards, Jon.

OK, well looking forward to the next release then! Anything that means not having to upload the whole thing again (examining debug output, not today thankyou!) will be great. I do have one suggestions though: I still think the original problem …

Hi Dan, OK I'm definitely sure this time! Left the sync uploading overnight, so wasn't trying to do anything clever and I got this (an awful lot) [JavaScript Error: "[Exception... "'Download request already exists in Zotero.Sync.Storage._addRequest…

Hi Dan, pretty sure - I copied it off report errors. Sorry should have reported it properly, I was just a bit frustrated and lots else on my plate. The only error I've got at the moment (there's been a lot of restarting firefox) is 6080069…

Hi Dan, is there any other way of solving the "Download request already exists in Zotero.Sync.Storage" error other than Reset Server History? Its not a great solution when you have large amounts of data to re-upload. Regards, Jon.

Hi, I'm having trouble with Springerlink too. Updated translators but no joy. I'm using Zotero 1.5r3813. Here's a link that doesn't work http://0-www.springerlink.com.pugwash.lib.warwick.ac.uk/content/hmw4471182p7/?p=695d19c97958464b86d80647…

You need to clear your Zotero cookies from Firefox and then you should be fine. Regards, Jon.
-
Ah, OK that worked fine. Thanks Dan.

I'm using box.net which seems to work fine. You have to use http, not https but apart from that, I'd recommend it as it is free. I should add that there is a 1GB storage limit, but I don't think that you'll find anything more from a free service …

Well, I don't know if this helps, but I reformatted the SDHC drive (it was fat32) to ext2 and it now appears to be syncing fine. Unfortunately I know my way round Windows much better than Linux, so can't offer much more info but as I said, it seem…

a+x (Make executable/searchable) all get execute/access permissions.

Slaps forehead. Sorry should have checked that - didn't think to because the sync seemed to be continuing, normally when there's a problem it stops with a yellow bar across it. Here you go: JavaScript Error: "[Exception... "Component returned fa…

At the moment think the best / only way is to have two separate references in your Z database. Then when it comes to citing it you cite them both using the multiple soures and stick "reprinted" in the suffix of the first reference. You then have to …

Thanks for the advice Dan. The only way I've managed to get this working so far is by whitelisting " jar: " At the moment, this seems to be the only option that NoScript accepts. I have no idea how much of a hole, if one at all, this leaves in N…

Switched to boxnet and after about three hours we have "No files left to upload" That was with r3564. So all problems seem to be resolved syncing up. Will see how it does pulling the data down later. And it all came down to my test profile too. …

I've been testing / playing with OO 3 and the new python plugin. It looks like this problem is now resolved for new documents. I was able to switch between author-date and footnote style referencing with no problem. Great job. Regards, Jon.

Just an FYI. GMX has a 1,000 file per folder limit which with large collections means you hit the buffers pretty quickly, I've just discovered :( Anybody else got any suggestions for free storage that doesn't have this particular limitation? …
-
OK, figured out why it keeps getting stuck. I really should not do this kind of thing when tired - obvious solutions cease to be. Unfortunately GMX has a 1,000 file per folder limit. This wasn't a problem in earlier versions of the sync but now it…

Not yet. Having reset everything including manually deleting all the files off the server, it is syncing again. It got stuck at about half way through last time so there's still another 200meg or so to go before I get to that point.
-
hmm, OK installed the latest build r3567. Tried syncing and got "storage sync is not active" Tried to verify server and got a popup with a "-6" I can get into my storage via My Network Places, so I don't think its a problem their end. Here's the de…

Ah, sorry missed that one. Still good news is the latest dev build r3562 synced successfully after I deleted the tag with the trailing space. I'll try the webdav server later tonight. Thanks, jon.
-
This is still broken, so not sure how useful my error reports are as I'm stuck on r2545. Regards, Jon.
-
This seems to be happening again - and I can't correct it because tag editing seems to be broken. I was trying to see if I could sync to an empty database and got the following error: zotero(3): Saving tag 11756 zotero(5): INSERT INTO tags…

I'm still getting this with 1.5a1.r3523 and an empty database. Jon.
