@Trine: Better to start a new thread. But, first, make sure you've installed the latest word plugin: http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_installation_for_zotero_2.1

I don't want to be unpleasant but you should ask this on Mendeley forum. However, according to their FAQ: A repository of currently available styles can also be found at: http://www.zotero.org/styles. The citation style files used by Mendeley Deskto…

Is there a tutorial on how to customize the citation styles?http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/style_editing_step-by-step

fearsomeworrier: That's really interesting! But remember that Zotero is (mainly) a citation manager and the core development team has very limited resources.

Anyway, is this plugin going to work for an existing bibliography or is the user supposed to have the abbreviation made when the reference is inserted? The plugin works for an existing bibliography (made with zotero). Perhaps, if the way zotero work…

A release will follow, and the plugin should start working with the next Zotero minor release. Thanks for testing! With Z 3.0.3 (vanilla, not mlz), your gadget works well (FF 10.02, MSWord plugin 3.1.5, MS-Word 2002).

I'm confused on this issue. I know that with z3.x you can directly edit citations in the document but I don't know if that prevent all refresh after. How do you edit your citations: directly or through the "Edit citation" dialog? Anyway, you need so…

Did you manually edit the citation in MS-Word?
-
As far as I know you can't do that easily (i.e. not manually).

MDPI uses abbreviations but as all styles in Zotero, it relies on your metadata (your “Journal Abbr.” field): http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/journal_abbreviations A plugin is being developed by fbennett to support abbreviation lists, but it's sti…

Have a look there: http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles and specially the links under "Editing CSL Styles" and "Mapping of Zotero Variables and Item Types to CSL". 490 p.: p. 431-489:

I agree that testing var content is not the good way. And I know Bruce doesn't like Idem (and I agree too). Anyway, there are two different issues as it appears in MHSmith post I quoted above. What's common to both is that Idem replace the author na…

This is a very old thread but my question is the same. I know that testing the content of variable won't happen but another solution might be found at the processor level (like name disambiguation I guess?). In this thread, MHSmith wrote: There is …

Frank, any comment/news on this?

ATM, magazineArticle and journalArticle have an "issue "field (and newspaperArticle may have an "issue field" in the future) None of them have a number (Bill number, Docket number, Document number, Episode number, Number, Patent number, Public law …

Second, I would wish that there would be the option to search not only for specific contens of fields, but also for empty fields or not empty fields. Is this what you need: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/14016/advanced-search-emptyempty-fields…

@dwl-sdca: Unfortunately I get no results when searching for string 21778, could you give me a link to it? http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/21778

ah ok ;-)

While wandering on the web last month I found that: http://c4tc.wordpress.com/2010/08/30/structured-and-unstructured-parsing-bibliographies/ Probably outdated?

Which "sent folder" are you talking about?

By the way, what's AGRH2012?

Good. That's very close to the French legal citation style : http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/9823/1/french-law-cases-droit-francais-decisions-arrets-jugements/ I've made a custom citation style which might comply to most of these requirements: i…

@tom.bauwens: No. Anyway, as adamsmith said, fbennett (who manages http://citationstylist.org) is working on legal styles integration. Is there an online documentation for V&A style? https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/wiki/Reque…

I assume you are or can read French. Allez sur le "repository": http://www.zotero.org/styles et tapez "France" ou "French": il y a plusieurs styles. Sinon, il y a les styles EHESS Histoire sur ce blog: http://www.boiteaoutils.info/2011/06/styles-fr…

There is a misunderstanding: you have to install zotero add-on for firefox (what fbennett called "the firefox client").

Mention which existing CSL style is closest to the style you need. Take a look at the styles in the style repository after checking the "Show only unique styles" check box to remove duplicates (hovering your mouse over a style link will show a previ…
