I don't know. But my main point was that one single odp field is ambiguous even if you don’t need two odp at the same time. Indeed, you can’t (automatically) format correctly both citations above if you’ve just one field. You'll have to choose the r…

@fbennett Joining punctuation is adaptive, but changes are triggered by adjoining punctuation marks. When was this added ? The citation processor is now capable of doing that; if there is demand, I could submit a pull request, so the core developers…

I just want some clarification about the future addition of a dedicated field for the "original date of publication". In the context of a book chapter, the original date of publication [odp] can refer to: -the odp of the chapter (if the book is a c…

Funny that I just encountered the same issue with the parentheses yesterday and wanted to post here. From the other thread : I'm thinking " ' (as well as their smart opening versions) ( [ and, probably for completeness, ¿¡smart opening versions? If…

Thanks Frank. Ticket created : https://github.com/zotero/zotero/issues/546

My inclination would be to go with 1) yes 2) a) 3) yes +1. thanks for thinking about this! (and a new term "idem" will have to be added to the existing list)

Indeed (thanks Aurimas !). Original thread here.

see if disabling all other Firefox extensions work. And : https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems#reporting_startup_errors

Fixed by Dan. Probably for 4.0.21.2.

Indeed, that's a (dangerous) bug. Thanks for reporting. (Win 7, either with Standalone or Zotero for Firefox)

A "Periodical" item type will be added in the future (not before Zotero 4.2) but it's for the whole periodical (either a single issue or the entire run), but not for a single article. (see also this thread) But there must be a workaround, so how wo…

I don't know — while I agree that there are times when you'd want the latter behavior, I don't think it'd be particularly expected, since you are, in fact, telling it to move the items within that collection to the trash. I agree but as aurimas wrot…

This is the way to do it *with the word plugin* : https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/16261/creating-editing-a-bibliography-only/?Focus=81430#Comment_81430 (i.e. in most cases, the best option is to use quick copy or right-click.) But the bibliogr…

1) Batch editing is scheduled (for Zotero 4.2). In the meantime, you can use the JavaScript API if you feel comfortable with it (it's not hard to do, but don't forget to back up your library). (Edit: in your case, the first line should be var fieldN…

You're actually the third to report this error. I think you should follow Dan Stilmann's advices here : try to disable the other Firefox extensions and provide a Debug ID.
-
Yes I've done yet all you've mentioned Did you try to restore your library backup from the Firefox automatic backup ?
-
Great, and that works with vanilla zotero ! (btw, my comments are still awaiting moderation on citationstylist, maybe you can post something for the OP)
-
I've assumed in my last post that you've reinitialized Firefox recently, i.e. that the dir on your desktop is your last backup and the most up-to-date . If you prefer to restore your local library from the server (because you've made some changes to…

First, syncing is not a substitute for backing up. You should backup your data on a regular basis. I can't help for your sync issue: a developer has to look at it. So, you've to wait for that. (I'm not sure that the "too much recursion" message is …

No they can't run at the same time. Why do you want to open them together ? If Standalone is open, and you try to open Zotero Firefox, it will bring the Standalone window to front. Not sure about the reverse.

How did you "reinitialize [your] Firefox" ? If you followed Mozilla's guidelines, there must be a backup of your old profile somewhere (on the desktop probably). "too much recursion"What's the exact message (in your language if not English)

Did you read this : https://www.zotero.org/support/installation ? 1&2. Originally Zotero was a Firefox extension. Then Zotero Standalone was released. Standalone can be used with Chrome, Safari, and Opera thanks to their "connectors". Without t…

I've never posted this feature request but I've long thought about such a "tabbed zotero". As I imagine (dream about) it, that would be possible to "open" one or more references (like notes at the moment) in another tab(s). The tab would have a name…
