I understood that! Is there no workaround that Zotero can put in place?
-
Is it possible we still have this bug? it's very frustrating :( currently I type enter to go to a new line (this seems to break the "we are still inside the citation thing), type a space, type left arrow, and then type backspace to go back to the …

Thanks! yes Firefox was overriding itwith a save screenshot feature. It works after I remapped it! I didn't know you could customize shortcuts :)
-
See also zotcite for an updated fork of it: https://github.com/jalvesaq/zotcite

Thanks dstillman. I don't think I need this feature. Is there a way to deactivate it? Best

I really think this option should be off by default. Everytime you have to check either that you can download the real article, or afterwards that the article Zotero has downloaded is the real one and not a pre-print. How do I turn this option off?
-
Uhm ... it doens't happen if, from Science Direct website, I login with my institution credentials. In this case the published version is downloaded. Where the connector took the pre-print from?
-
I then think we need a "Please save as .docx" warning after you press the "Switch WordProcessor" button?
-
Yes saving to .docx worked fine and I was able to import into Microsoft Word. Is it supposed to work also if I save in .odt? Is this a bug?
-
It returns this warning after when saving in .docx (and the citations in plain text command due to the "Switch Document Processor") https://ibb.co/Vw9fLnL

Thanks, I just saw you closed it :( Yeah I'm on Linux, specifically on Fedora Workstation 35. I assumed it would hold across all OSes.

Help! I need somebody!

Will there be a browser plugin for Word 365 Online?
-
I have tried disabling "Automatically update citations" but it is still way too slow

Thank you very much. I also found the article on the blog but I think the blog has been dismissed in favor of the knowledge base (last post is dated 2019). I am exporting from Google Docs to LibreOffice Writer since inserting a citation in Google …

Hello, the problem is that there are a lot of them, and when I click on "Yes" it moves forward and I am not able to go back and find out what went wrong. I think that dialog should should allow me to modify the original citation (while displaying …

Since Zotero is parsing it, I think "Issue date" could also display the date in YYYY-MM-DD format, leaving empty the missing pieces Example "June, 2021" -> 2021-06 "2020" -> 2020 "7th July 2021" -> 2021-07-07

But Thanks for explaining how it works in case of a direct PDF download :)
-
Yea if I wait really long the PDF will eventually pop up in Zotero, although the Connector showed an error. I think the Connector and Zotero should talk to each other to figure out whether the download is still happening so that the connector will …

I don't understand. I have to wait more before collecting the Debug IDs?

Zotero Connector: D1531208835 Zotero: D243217868

Despite the rror message, the PDF shows up in Zotero

did this got fixed?

> They must have manually removed those links I don't think they would do that > or used the function to remove all text formatting, This indeed might be. Where is that function in Google Docs? It's likely they have changed the font, but …

So, to recap, for what operations is the Zotero Connector required for my co-authors? Can they copy and paste citations without the Zotero Connector? Can they cut and paste citations without the Zotero Connector? I need to know whether I have to …

> Including this one: https://www.zotero.org/styles/apa-no-doi-no-issue This one has no DOI and no Issue numbers ... is there one with NO DOIs but _with_ issue numbers?
-
> Zotero isn't going to throw away meaningful data. *Some* of this data is not meaningful at all. For instance an article published on 1th April 2016, the "1st" doesn't mean anything. Only that it's the April issue of the journal. Equivalentl…

Hum, I downloaded the "Academy of Management Review" style, but it is still putting the DOI in the bibliography in same cases, I *believe* when the article has no issue and volume. Am I wrong on that?
-
I did not know about this site at all! I was even able to install the style by just clicking on it. Thank you so much!

I am using the Amarican Psychological Association style, I believe. I need in line citation in the form of (Author, Year). The form [1] is not good for me.
