When MLZ modifies the database, it presents a notice that explains most of this. It is the expected behaviour. MLZ runs only in Firefox. It modifies the database structure, and standard Zotero cannot be used to directly access an MLZ database. Stan…

Will take a look after the 25th.
-
If that's what's happening, it shouldn't be, and I'll definitely take a close look. Unfortunately, though, "quick" will have to mean after Christmas.
-
@adamsmith: I'm not absolutely sure, but I think that you may be able to override automatic capitalisation by applying text-case="lowercase".
-
There was some doubt about these recently, when the main CSL list of skip-words was under discussion. For the AmLaw style, let's follow your intuition, and see if anyone complains. Duly removed.
-
Ah, okay. Sorry for this glitch. The journal name is not affected -- it's rendered as-is, but in small-caps, which is correct. You're quite right, though, that the stop-list was completely broken across MLZ American Law wherever text-case="title" …
-
The stop-words don't capitalize in MLZ Chicago Full Note for me here, in MLZ latest (1.0.14m430). If you paste a copy of your style, and of the code for an exported item that exhibits the problem, to http://gist.github.com, and paste the URL(s) back…

You should review the docs on MLZ multiple layouts: http://citationstylist.org/docs/citeproc-js-csl.html
-
See above.

Can fix this, but it will be a month before I can get to it.
-
Not sure, no harm in trying. I won't have time to look more closely for the next month, unfortunately.
-
I can't think of a reason why it needs to be. I'll put that on the TODO list.
-
Thanks for this information. This is a further wrinkle in duplicate-character control, and will have to wait for a major refactoring of the processor output code, which I hope to get to sometime in the next few months.
-
That's certainly not good. It will be some time before I can dig into this, but I'll put it on the TODO list, and try to get it fixed during the New Year holidays.
-
If you export the item that produces that result as Bibliontology RDF, save it to http://gist.github.com as a Public Gist, and post the URL back to this thread, I can take a look.
-
A further update. The processor has trouble interpreting the straight quotes used as apostrophes in L'élaboration and l'élixir. If you set these as proper right-quote characters (which you probably should do anyway) and place a backslash before the …
-
(Well, not quite. It then places a space before the quote, which is not good. I'm kind of swamped at the moment, so your workaround seems to be the way to go for the present. I'll try to get this fixed when I have time, though.)
-
Ah, there we go. I can reproduce that here. Whether a single quote is a proper quote or an integral part of a word can't easily be determined automatically, so I think you'll need to supply a hint. If you put a backslash before the quote in al-a‘ẓam…
-
It's meant to take effect on journal titles. If you don't want hints, you can install the empty file (at the bottom of the page): http://citationstylist.org/tools/
-
Sorry for the delay. The CSL processor leaves proper quotes intact, regardless of their position (that is, both ‘quotes’ and ’backwards-quotes‘ are passed through as written). You should be able to check it in the CSL Edit pane from Zotero Preferenc…

This was a small style problem. I've taken the liberty of pushing a fix to the Zotero Style Repository. Not sure how long it will take to feed through (an hour?). Let us know how it goes.
-
Yeah, I had second thoughts on the train in to work, and updated the processor patch plugin with a fix.
-
I'm not sure this one is a bug. If you set an explicit on the author macro, it renders with italics in cs:citation and no italics in cs:bibliography.
-
Pinning down the fault is crucial mid-field play!
-
A bug indeed. The *-with-initials parameters were restricting the bibliography, as tipichris discovered. It should be fixed in the processor patch plugin now. The plugin (which works only in Zotero with Firefox, not with Standalone) swaps in the lat…
-
While we do have the ACS style down for eventual implementation, in the meantime, I'm curious what it's advantages are (apart from consistency with past practice). I've also been curious when the style in its current form first emerged.
-
It should be fixed now, in MLZ release 4.0.14m430. Thanks for reporting this one. Let us know how it goes.
-
Eureka. No need for further information, I've reproduced the bug. It happens when the creators are set in single-field mode. Strictly speaking that is not correct in MLZ, since these are personal names -- but it shouldn't affect multilingual render…

We can also check to see what the item is showing to the processor. Export the item as CSL JSON and post the data to a Public Gist. Here is what I get on my system: https://gist.github.com/fbennett/7698624
