But the use case flagged by stroom is about data import, not about parsing. They're related. Lists would have a role, not at the translation stage, but in UI to make data cleanup easier. At least that's what I suggested above. My view is that the t…

I've made adjustments in the processor. I'll try to make a release of the processor patch plugin soon, but the GitHub API that I use for releases does not seem to be functioning well at the moment. As a side-note, the processor patch plugin will ne…

Thanks for reporting. Is it right that dell' and dall' should both be non-dropping also?
-
I disagree, but it's not really my call at this point. If Zotero chooses to simplify the parsing behaviour without providing support for the use case flagged by stroom above (mis-parsing of names by the translators), that can happen; but it's a deci…

Nothing specific, and going forward with a change to test the waters probably makes sense. We'll need support for particle adjustments in the Zotero UI before changing the processor. Both changes can now be done without touching the processor direct…

I've adjusted the link on the previous page to point at the current location.

Moving of items works by pressing the shift key, and holding it down during the drag—it is discussed in a more recent thread.

FWIW, in Juris-M (a Zotero variant), audioRecording has an "Album" field that maps to container-title, podcast has a "Date" field that maps to issued, and there are conditionals for testing the granularity of dates.

Thanks for posting. There seems to be a bug in list imports. For the next few days I'll be working on a major release for the overall project, but when that is out of the way I will look into it.

Yes. The only case in which we’d need a list (though probably a much shorter one) would be if we could identify any uppercase strings that are particles after all. That all lines up for me. Again, currently I don't really think so.The feedback on Ara…

There are two potential roles for lists. One would be in the translation and UI layers of Zotero, to grab names more or less correctly, and make it easier to fix them up when translation guesses wrongly. The other role would be in the processor, to…

This will need attention. There is another reported glitch in the NZ Law Style that I need to address. I hope to get to it soon, once some other things in the project settle down.

List-based parsing with an override is an interesting idea. Depending on the state of names in the wild (which I still think we don't know for certain), it might be possible to give users a hot-key or easily accessible menu for repairing names recog…

In Juris-M, you cán just put "art." at the start of the locator field (or the Section field, if you want items for specific provisions in a statute or treaty): art. 123 The "art." will be interpreted in the same way as the locator label, changing to…

Also added "aan de", thanks.

Many thanks, received. Try this, it addresses an error shown in the log, and may work better: https://github.com/Juris-M/zotero/releases/tag/v4.0.28.2m43beta

That would really (!) save me a bunch of workThat's what we're here for. :-) On La Fontaine, there seemed to be agreement that the "La" is not a non-dropping particle, but should be treated as a fixed part of the name itself - and so sort under "L,…

Nothing has arrived via the Zotero.org "Inbox." I sent a copy of my email address, but maybe messages aren't getting through at the moment. You can send it to my personal account, biercenator@gmail.com (as an attachment is best)

I have posted a revision to the processor following @stroom's feedback, with case-sensitive parsing to address @nickbart's reminder on the "de La Fontaine" issue. The changes affect seven tests: citeproc-js local tests (one fixture) CSL processor …

That certainly doesn't sound right. Just in case, try checking database integrity: (1) Open Preferences -> Advanced (2) select "Files and Folders" (3) click "Check Database Integrity" If the database checks out okay, could you send a report of …

@stroom: Thanks for your comment, I'll update the code. (Apart from that, I'll just point out that the names parser is now called from Zotero code, so a simple position-and-case parsing module can be introduced by Zotero if it is preferred.)

I just tried in a saved search, setting relations within the same saved search and into a different one. With a heavy search there is a bit of a lag (a second or so), but it comes through. Are you able to reproduce the fault?
-
It's working here with Juris-M v4.0.28.2m42, which is the latest release. Is that your version?
-
The bug is in Zotero code, but it's likely due to inadequate documentation to the citeproc-js function used to generate the list. That's my desk, so I've filed a pull request that will fix the issue.
-
I can reproduce the bug in Zotero (and in Juris-M), but with that input, I get correct entries in the processor test-bed. What method is used to run the processor for that operation, and what exact input does the processor see?

Even with demote-non-dropping-particle="display-and-sort", the form of the name for dropping and non-dropping particles differs in-text (i.e. in author-date citations) for the short form name. As you say, it's an edge case, but I guess I'll go ahead…
-
Well spotted. It's easy to discriminate the two cases, if there is general agreement (it seems to me that doing so would avoid unnecessary confusion).
-
You would still probably want to run the entry through a disambiguation engine to get the right form and number of authors, though.

grimmelm, danepps, Okay a fresh release of Juris-M just went up. Please give it a try. Post back with your experiences - hoping for good news.
