In my understanding, that's what the URL and Accessed fields are for. Can you give an example of what you want to cite?

It looks like WorldCat drops content that is enclosed in tags with class "vernacular", which seems mean anything not in the interface language. I don't see an option to switch the interface to Japanese, so this is a problem. Zotero doesn't have mu…

It looks like the "Book Section" type contains everything you need. It would be up to the citation style to make use of it all.
-
@Mouser: there are no condition statements for counting authors in CSL right now, but syntax for supporting them is under discussion. You'll have to wait, but help is on the way.
-
@katherine13: Alternatively, if you are running Zotero Sync 1.5, I can send you a file that you can add to Zotero to get the translator working in your existing setup. Let me know if you would like to do that. There is a mail contact at the bottom…

@katherine13: I am an instructor in an overseas law faculty, where we are planning to deploy Zotero for use by overseas Masters students from April. Lexis support is one of our requirements, and I'm doing some work on this. In our Uni we have two …

Dan, kea, I can take a look at this. Their catalog has only the two languages, so I should be able to use the same tricks I used on the Nagoya interface. I'm feeling a bit weary of the Bluebook stuff this evening, it will be a nice break. More s…

Hmm. For Abstract, I get the expected results in advanced search with no value, and I get everything with " ". In saved search, both no value and " " return everything. I wonder if the platform makes a difference? I'm using 1.5a1.r4041, and: Moz…

Confirming that that works here, too. [Abstract][does not contain] + no value entered in the search field. I do get returns to my Title test, but it's consistent, picking up entries that have notes appended to them. Searching for empty Titles is …

@kientzla, I've noticed that cites come out with no period when first entered, but acquire a period when citations are refreshed. Just to be sure, do you not get a period on those items after clicking the Zotero refresh icon in Word/OO?
-
Checked this, and a search for [does not contain][" "] returns everything. The search hash apparently doesn't record space characters. Looking at this, I found this thread, suggesting a search for vowels. I ran a test on my own entries, some of w…

@Phloxicon, Here's a recent thread about installing styles. If you have Zotero installed and running, clicking on the [install] link (not the name of the style -- that will just display the XML) should trigger an invitation to install from Firefox…

Crispin, I've done some scratching around in the sources, and it looks to me as if it's just applying the default for selected-but-disabled list items. I checked the hidden preferences for a means of tweaking this, but didn't see anything. Someon…

Maybe it's my machine that needs an adjustment. :)
-
If I understand correctly and am testing the same operation, for me it returns highlighted in a very visible grey (the item highlights in bright blue when clicked). Could this be a feature of your monitor adjustments?

I see that a trash can has been implemented in the latest trunk release. Great stuff!

That's great for citation styles that use keys referring to a bibliography, but as bdarcus writes above, it makes it painful to convert a document to a footnoted style. The level of pain depends on the style, but some of us have been there and done…

Hi, maple. Check out this page, I think it provides an answer to your question. There's lots of useful information in the Zotero site to explore. Enjoy!

Just checked whether making the fieldID's sequential to the standard entries makes a difference, but no go. Same error. (I also see that I had to be mistaken about this, because there are gaps in the standard sequence of fieldID numbers anyway.) …

Something like this would be very welcome. In our environment, one of our reasons for introducing Zotero into our writing programs is to reduce the temptations to plagiarism. If quotation is built into the interface, the barriers to doing things r…

Scratch that. I'd missed the reset tab. Working again now, will keep an eye on this from now.

It's a different use case, but as fate would have it, one style (wouldn't you know it, it's Bluebook) requires the discretionary listing of all authors in the first footnote reference, when names important to the context of the citation would be obs…

Thanks, hope it's useful!

One quick one is about the internal key numbers assigned to elements of the schema. In itemTypes, fields, and creatorTypes, the schema elements are numbered in sequence. If I assign a high number (thinking unreserved port numbers, like) to a field…

Clement, There is a pattern match done on the URL before the translator offers to download. It may be that only a simple change is required to make things work with the Netherlands address. I have never used LexisNexis Academic, but from the look…

A tentative list has been floated to xbiblio, but little issues keep cropping up as I work through the style, and I fear that I'm starting to sound a bit like the Little Boy Who Cried Wolf. Implementing things locally will give us a chance to work …

@ezralogo: We'll be needing some other fields for legal materials that are not yet available, so I can't avoid building the upgrade/downgrade wizard. But I'm very grateful to you for pointing this out, it crosses one off my list.
-
@ezralogo: ! You're absolutely right.

Okay, I've figured out what to do for migrations. We'll set our schema and DB at upgrade level + 10000. The local version will unwind the 10000 increment if it is present, apply any Zotero migrations normally, and then apply our local modification…

Ah, got it. I was thinking export as in "export from Zotero", but I see what you're driving at. That would be convenient.
