There are no laymen in the Zotero community; only users with varying degrees of expertise. :) The style needs to be fixed, which is relatively straightforward. You can either read the CSL 1.0 Primer and refer to the Specification in order to make t…

Others will give you advice on how to submit style updates to the repository.

The processor forces the final institution to be joined with "and" (in the local language). I can see that this is undesireable and confusing; I'll modify the processor to use a the same delimiter used to join personal authors. On capitalization, i…

If you hover over the icon that appears in the address bar when you view an item on the site, it should show the name of the translator used to extract the metadata. With that info, in Zotero you can go to gear menu -> Advanced -> Show Data Di…

If the site from which the data is captured is putting all names in a single field, that can and should be fixed in the translator. Please post a request in a new discussion, giving the URL of the target site. For this particular data, the last na…

... and indeed it was. I've applied a fix and will make a fresh processor release. When it comes through in the next release of Zotero 2.1, this should clear up for you.
-
Took that look, and there's nothing to fix in the processor for this one; it's a style issue. The style uses a nesting group to join the URL to the access date note: According to the specification:Not…

Partially awake now (coffee still to come). Um ... yes, that would be a bit weird, wouldn't it. I guess that's where we start; what should the citation with descriminator look like in this case?
-
Nice one. I'll look at this today.
-
This is probably due to an over-aggressive condition for suppressing duplicate punctuation. I'll take a at it look tomorrow.
-
I was mistaken about the browser masking the corruption; in HTML mode, quote marks don't get escaped at all, so there is no issue to begin with there. RTF is the trouble zone for text escaping. In other news, I think I have some stuff in place to i…

That corrupt string is probably confusing the sort. Once we get that under control, we can tune in some stop-characters if the sort ordering is still incorrect. I'm able to reproduce the issue here. It apparently doesn't like the apostrophe as lead…

It's made me a very popular dinner guest, I can tell you.

I think I've spotted a bug in the processor that could be causing this. I'll issue a release containing the fix, which will be picked up by Zotero. You can try it out as soon as the revised processor has been merged into the branch XPI (probably wit…

adamsmith's advice is the best. There is a "Suppress author" tick-box in the popup that appears when you edit a citation. Possibly the value was stored differently in 2.0.9 documents, which would explain the effect you describe. If you would like th…

Not in this version of the client, I think. It would be relatively simple to add such a feature, though, as a "none" term that the processor simply ignores.

Install Zotero 2.1.2 (out today), which fixes the problem with corruption of some quote characters. Non-dropping particles should be placed before the last name in the lastName field. Dropping particles should be placed after the given name in the …

Yes, this is a tricky one. It could be more sophisticated, but it will stay with the current logic at least until 2.1 is running happily. The problem is that it may help. You could have authors like this:Smith, Jones, Brown, Hart, Rodgers 1999 Smith…

The "problem of the missing January" should certainly be fixed in 2.1.2.

Is there another article in the set by Berns, Townend, Zayna, Balagopal, Reeves, Hopkins & Kruschwitz? If so, that would explain it. There should be a line in the citation part of the style that reads:If you delete that line, CSL will not attem…

l3lafitte: I think I've figured out what's going on. If I'm right, your document will be okay, but there will need to be a little adjustment to Zotero to get it going. Please bear with us for a day or two. Here's my hypothesis, which I'm about 95% …

Is there a reason why you are putting the entire name in the firstName field?

Have you tried installing the Open Office portion of the plugin code directly from Open Office? That worked for me. You can get there with Tools -> Extension Manager, then the Add button. You may need to do some tricks to get at the Firefox profi…

This sounds like a field-mode issue. You need to change the single-field authors to two-field format. Click on the little icon to the right of the name. (Edit: Actually, could you explain more clearly what your data looks like. Are these institutio…

Yep. Simon or Dan will pick it up later, and may have some more questions for you. (Oops, sorry, I linked the wrong page. What Dan said.)

Uhmz. I'll take a close look at the style later on, to see if chopping out the URL should also quash the Accessed note.

Turn on reporting, restart Firefox, trigger the error, and submit a report ID.

This has been reported before, and I've been waiting to see whether changes in 2.1.2 would affect the behavior. Sadly not, but no fears, we'll nail it. Some debugging code has been added to the processor to help track down the cause. Please submit a…

Aha, looks like I'd already done this, then. There is a lot of detail inside the processor, and things do slip from (my) memory. I'll keep an eye out for failure of year suffix quashing, though, since usws' report suggests it may flake out on occasi…

The processor could be taught to add a year suffix only to the first date that it encounters. That has been suggested before, I think, and it doesn't seem like a particularly risky modification. I'll take a look when I get a chance.
