If there are strong views that the issue with upgrades should be fixed, please post them here. I can look further, but for the moment I'll leave things as they are, if things are working smoothly in new documents.

Sorry, I misread the APA style. I think I was looking at the macro used for citation sort instead of the one used for rendering. Good to hear that it's in order. The behavior could be shifted to jump to the full form, but if it's right for Chicago …

Scratch my earlier comment: thankfully this is not a regression in the earlier bug. But I want to be sure that I understand the issue. However, there seems to be an issue with disambiguation of citations where names aren't displayed in full. For exam…

The problem is that "4月 22 , 2011" is not a valid Japanese date string: the ordering is wrong, and year/month/day suffixes should be appended to every element, as "2011年4月 22日" (or "平成23年4月 22日" in the Imperial year form). I can see dealing…

@ajlyon + development team: I'm not sure how the imported data is stored in the DB, but it would be best if the date submitted for parsing is always forced to the en-US locale. The citeproc-js parser would stumble over the date seen by ikeda_t.

I'm not sure how many Japanese people care about this problem. It's a big country. :)

Final question ...I don't know if it's related, but when I close Firefox, it says when I reopen it that MacWord Zotero has been updated and I have to close Word and reopen it for the updates to take place. Which I do/did.Does this mean that Firefox …

Another immediate question is whether you have "track changes" enabled in the word processor. This is known to cause problems. (If it is currently enabled, setting aside a copy of the document in its current state, accepting all changes, and turning…

Sara, The developers may be able to point more firmly at the cause after looking at the report you have submitted; but I'm looking at possible causes of this in the processor, and I have a question. Are there uncited items in the document that prod…

Fair point; but having local IDs that sync to a shared group would surely call for an uncommon degree of solicitude among group members, unless you had a field- or record-level permissions model.
-
Which version of Zotero do you have installed?
-
We'll see how it goes when I get to the fix, but I think the CSL 1.0 punctuation placement setting will be able to control that as well.
-
This has been raised elsewhere recently. I plan to suppress this combination of duplicate punctuation in a not-too-distant release of citeproc-js (forthcoming in the next week or so, if all goes as planned). If it's not urgent that it be fixed immed…
-
The punctuation issue has been raised again in a new thread today. As that's a dedicated thread for that specific fault, further discussion of the punctuation glitch (which shouldn't run for long, as it's soon to be fixed :) should be routed there.

In the word processor plugin, multilingual Zotero doesn't actually have any style settings directly tied to the language of the target document. The problem it addresses is the presentation of citations to materials written in languages other than t…
-
From the sound of it, there is a strong possibility that the cause lies in a system failure of some kind; Zotero plugins write only to specific fields within a document. Be very careful around the system that did this.
-
That looks like the logic that's needed. Had a fiddle myself, and there doesn't seem to be a way to get the exact effect. The processor doesn't really do much for these, it just passes a markup wrapper through to the calling application. The options…
-
Yes. It's not a Zotero issue, but a problem with how the processor handles the suppress-author request. I'm currently working on a complete rewrite of the processor code that handles name formatting. I should be done with that within a week or so, a…

If this is a fault report, please provide the following information: The entry as you want it to be rendered, so that we can tell what's wrong with this output. The plain text input for the fields that produce this output (Author, Title, Date, Volume…

The code is now in the branch XPI. Be sure your Zotero data and any documents you use with Zotero are backed up before installing it. Installation works in the same way as the current release (i.e. by clicking on the link and following the steps). I…

Thank you for this precise feedback. The parsing issue should be cleared up in the next release (although we can't be sure until it's been run in the field). I should be able to resolve the punctuation issue; I'll add your example to the test suite …
-
Thanks for reporting this. It's clearly caused by a processor bug, and will be fixed in the next release.
-
Just so you know that we do have this in mind, I spent some time yesterday working on a method of speeding up one of the bottlenecks in processing (disambiguation). The speed improvement was modest but significant in the processor test framework (ab…

It's probably the nested single quote after the hyphen that caused the parser to stumble. In theory, at least, the curly quotes by themselves should (should) parse and process okay. Straight quotes in the database should render as curly quotes in t…

It's not clear what you're asking. The answer to your first question depends on what you mean by "capture". The answer to the second depends on what you mean by "report".

Actually adamsmith beat us to it; the CSL 1.0 version of the style has already been corrected. Visit this page, and save to your desktop. Then (if in Zotero 2.1.6), drag the file into Firefox. For earlier versions, rename the file to from "apa.csl.t…
-
Yes. CSL 1.0 supports disambiguation of the first author only. I'll take a look at the CSL 1.0 version of the style, and post back soon.
-
This is the effect of disambiguation. It depends on the style, but it is intentional. If you check the citations in your document, you will find that either there is another reference to Sparrow and Cooper for 2003, or that you have other cites that…

Click on the "raw" link in the gist page, the use the "Save page as" option (under the File menu of your browser) to save the document to your desktop. Then drag the file into Firefox and drop it there (left-mouse-press, drag, left-mouse-release). I…
