Do you have a backup copy of the document? If not, you may have some work in store, but you will want to be sure the document is working correctly first in any case. Debugging steps for broken documents are here: http://www.zotero.org/support/word…

@heatheremory, If you check your messages on zotero.org, I can send you a private version of the Zotero 2.1.6 client that uses a new version of the CSL processor that may get you going immediately with APA.

I think I have a handle on why we've been seeing these intermittent low-level errors. We'll have to wait and see, but I'm pretty sure they can be eliminated for Zotero 2.1.7. The (very slightly) technical story is that the citation formatter runs t…

Uppercase PAGE is certainly a surprise. I can prevent that from causing a problem, so let's start there. I'll be tied up with other things for the next few hours, but I'll put up a processor release that addresses at least part of the problem here …

What is your version of Zotero?
-
I'm pretty sure that the spacing in bibliographies is controlled by the word processor "Bibliography" style parameters. You should be able to change the spacing by making adjustments there. In HTML, I'm pretty sure that it's controlled by CSS (same …

@michopop: Any news? To avoid unnecessary confusion, I'll be holding off on raising this issue on the CSL list until there is evidence that and Ibid rule that skips footnotes containing no citations is a firm requirement in some realm. Your case is …

The metadata link is what I needed. I'm blocked by the paywall from home today, but I can provide some info on the likely cause. The processor replaces a space before a colon with a non-breaking narrow space (used in French-style punctuation). If th…

Shinno is correct as the family name. Do you have a link for the download?

Hmm. Interesting. Well, I have code now to run either way. It's a small change to a single line of code inside the processor, so it could be made into an option, or be put under the control of CSL. What to do. I guess this is one for the CSL list. …

Oh, wait. This can be solved inside the CSL processor, without any change to the plugins. An early fix is possible, if it's certain that this is the correct behavior for all styles. @michopop & adamsmith (and anyone else listening in), if you c…

At present, I believe that would be a matter for the final edit of the document.
-
Ah, I didn't notice that. In the course of sorting out another issue today, I discovered that the "all" match term was not working correctly. I've fixed that processor bug, and the original CSL should work in the next release (I think).
-
Yes, the conditional logic in the current processor version breaks when more than one locator is specified -- it's a clear bug, which will be fixed in the next release. As an extra, I've also fixed things so that you can test for "sub verbo" directl…

I think that Zotero SA may be using an earlier version of the CSL processor, which did have problems in this area. If that intuition is right, the problem should go way when the SA build is next updated (it's lagging behind the mainstream version at…

As adamsmith says. I hope you're able to identify the source of the trouble by going through the debugging steps. In any case, I'll be interested in hearing what you find.

This sounds like a problem with the target document. Does inserting citations in a fresh document work normally? This error can only occur if there is an attempt to disambiguate an item that has not been registered in the processor. This should nev…
-
Good news, but ... darn. If you run into it again and are able to reproduce the error, please file. The incidence of these low-level errors from the processor has gone 'way down, and I'm curious what the cause is in the odd cases where it still crop…

Please follow the steps to produce a Debug ID for an attempt that includes the error. The information sent to Zotero in the report may help us figure out the source of this fault.

This turned out to be a very useful exercise, as it turned up bugs in the core condition evaluation code that (quite surprisingly, and much to my chagrin) were not picked up by the test suite. The code posted by l2lafitte will work in the next relea…

I've built a processor test based on the workaround posted by the OP, and I can confirm that citeproc-js fails as per the description. However the CSL argument is split by the processor, the first branch should render if none of "sub verbo" nor "sub…

The style you posted is not valid CSL, which is likely to cause strange misbehavior. You would need to change "if" to "else-if" at or about lines 155 and 157. It's always a good idea to validate styles before use. Information is available at citatio…

Do you have track changes turned on in your word processor?
-
I think I've spotted the problem. For a find-and-replace operation, I had written the open guillemet into the code in visual form (which is encoded as UTF-8) instead of using the native Javascript character code (\u00ab). It should work correctly in…

Thanks for getting back. This is certainly not good, and I'll take a look. When this is fixed, the documents should correct themselves on refresh; the citation form rendered in the document does not affect the data in the entries inside your databas…
-
I'm pretty sure this will work correctly in the next version. If you need it sooner, try backing up your Zotero database and documents, and installing the Zotero branch XPI, to see if that works better. If you try it, you should reinstall with Zoter…

The "citation-label" variable is in CSL 1.0, and the processor will generate text for it. At the moment, the auto-generated value is just the first word of the author family name (or its substitute value, if no author is present), followed by the ye…

There may be some misunderstanding. That's not just idle advice; I built this part of the system, and if it's not working, I need your help to assure it's working correctly. Are you willing to provide additional information?

Mark it with the italics tags. When the style applies italics to the title as a whole, the inner italics will be removed automatically. That's the theory if it anyway. Give it a try and lets us know if it works.
