@Halibutt: For future reference, you can add comments to XML files without breaking validation using .

The short titles issue is now fixed, in processor release 1.0.193, just checked in. The new processor version should appear in the next release of Zotero. The cause of missing italics and the failure of the plugin are still puzzling. Do you see any…

Please provide the relevant Bluebook edition and rule. (The editions I have seen require roman time for case names on the first reference, and italics for the short form of the case name in subsequent references.) Under the ALWD, case names are alw…

Let's forget the plugin thing. It seems only to be increasing the number of points of failure, which won't help. I've been able to reproduce the issue with missing short titles. It seems to fail consistently when the number of cites to be disambigu…

What ajlyon said. Zotero and the CHNM are basically in the innovation business. That their work generates more opportunities for third-party development and leveraged services than their lab can cover is a feature, not a fault.

You'll want to build a proper style definition in CSL. That will take some work, but it's really the only way to get things right. From a quick look at the style guide, I don't see anything that CSL 1.0 can't cope with smoothly.

I'll take a look. My very first law review article was published in the Leiden Journal of International Law, and I would be delighted to see strong Zotero support for their house style.

Although we haven't gotten there yet, we would like to get full service going for this category of styles. One of the difficulties is that addressing the indenting issues requires formatting that varies between markup languages. It would help to mov…

A couple of other points, assuming that the new version of the plugin works for you: (1) bluebook-19th.csl does not have a bibliography, so you'll want to test against the style with which the problem originally turned up; (2) I'm not sure what yo…

Ah. There was a stray debugging comment in the code of the plugin, which may have been crashing it on your system. Try reinstalling (from the same URL), and see if that gets it going. I'm really very curious why italics are disappearing on you.

This has been corrected, in processor release 1.0.192, which should feature in the next release of Zotero. Sorry for the premature declaration that it had been fixed, and resulting consternation.
-
I can confirm that suppress-author is not working as advertised in the processor. Will have it a fix in place within a day or two.
-
I'll double-check the processor's behavior on this.
-
Starting with step one, if you have signed up for the group and synced, you should see a "CSL Test Submission" group among your groups in the left panel. Does it not appear?
-
I took a look at the RDF you posted. I don't see anything in there that could be causing corruption. The cause is still a mystery. It would be helpful to be able to see the exact input that is being provided to Zotero. If possible, please install t…

This has been fixed in processor version 1.0.190, just checked in. With the fix, strip-periods should be safe to use anywhere it is allowed by the CSL 1.0 schema. (Edit: Simon has picked up the new version and merged it to the 2.1 branch. In the ne…

Liam, Thanks for raising this. I'll take a look in the next couple of days.

The Zotero-CSL mappings can be found here. I do think that instrumental documents (regulations, orders, laws, as well as standards documents) are worth placing under discrete item types, both in Zotero and in CSL. In the case of documents of this k…

I've done a little testing, and I think I'll leave things in their current state. Zotero will not treat "Los" as a name particle in current Zotero if the name is enclosed in straight double quotes, so there is at least a way to control for this. Th…

This is caused by the processor. For an immediate solution, put straight double-quotes around the name. I'll look at adjusting the next processor release to prevent this from happening, but I can't promise the fix, or that it will be permanent, sinc…

@adamsmith: This has been fixed in processor release 1.0.188. Thanks again for calling attention to it.

Thanks for this report! Can confirm that this is utterly messed up. Some special magic is invoked on macros that contain a date -- the processor extracts the date and uses that for the key, and leaves out anything else contained in the macro. That'…

Which style?

Sqlite is not designed to handle overlapping accesses (reads and writes) from different callers gracefully. As a result, if an sqlite database is accessible to more than one client at the same time, the database is almost certain to become corrupted…

In the Zotero database, enclose the title in tags, as:A Prolonged and Discursive Review of Tristram Shandy with Copious Illustrations, Decorative Fonts and the Occasional Misprint

That's a shame, but thanks for the info. Yesterday I pitched the concept to a book supplier that dropped by my office, and I promised to follow up with news of other implementations. I guess that will be a short message. :) Less work might be requi…

What version of Zotero are you using? In Zotero 2.1, disambiguation will only occur if there are family-name clashes among the citations as printed in the document. (Edit: in a style that requires disambiguation, this is exactly what a copy-editor w…

Did you end up implementing something in this line?

Yep, it's a bug alright. The order of the entries was drifting when the year was the same across all items in adjacent groups. I'll check in a fix in a few minutes (it's done, but the pre-release test suite takes a few minutes to run). Should turn u…

Great, thanks! I'll try to get this online in the next few days.
