The processor could return a flag when disambiguation is invoked, if that would help.
-
CSL 1.0.1 will include a "title-short" variable. We should maybe consider "container-title-short" as well.
-
@forrat: I haven't checked this, but you might look at the language panel in Preferences on the new system. If the languages you used on the old system are not showing up there, try defining them and see if that wakes up your multilingual content.
-
You're right there, the data should carry across fine in that case.
-
Thanks for reporting: it sounds like RDF import/export is broken. It might take a couple of days, but I'll take a look and post back.
-
@walkers33: Yours is a separate issue from that of the original posters (wallhalla & danilo). Ordinarily I would recommend that you start a new thread, but under the EndNote Terms of Use, the Zootaxa.ens file can only be shared with licensed En…

When you open a particular reference for editing (via the Zotero plugin) you'll see a Prefix and a Suffix field. If you put your signals in the Prefix field, it should do what you want.
-
As adamsmith says, you really need to seek support from Mendeley for this. Mendeley uses the same tool as Zotero to format citations (citeproc-js), but the processor version and runtime environment differs between the two applications. It's not that…
-
Note that after you get the style working as you want, you should change its name and ID string, as explained here. This should assure that it doesn't get clobbered if Mendeley does automatic style updates.
-
You need to study things a little more carefully before diving in and making changes. CSL is quite a simple language once you understand how it fits together, but like any other language there is a logic to it that you have to follow in order to get…

The modification you want to make will look something like this:
-
CSL works in Mendeley as well (and they have very helpful support forums :). Yes, if you look through the specification, you'll see that options inside the angle braces are always (without any exceptions) written in the form some-option="some_value…

As I wrote above, you'll need to modify the "author-short" macro. You've modified the "author" macro instead, which is only used in the bibliography (so you'll get italic et-al there instead, not in the citations). …
-
I received your modified version of the harvard style by mail, thanks. What's this doing in there?
-
A few questions:What version of Zotero are you using? What style are you using? For revisions in a style to take effect, you need to switch to another style, then switch back. Have you tried that, and if not, does doing it cause the italics to show up?
-
It doesn't go into the code you've posted above, but in the author-short macro. You can find pretty complete guidance here: http://citationstyles.org/downloads/specification.html#et-al

Further to the discussion above, I checked pages on Fastcase, and found that they are in the same category as Westlaw and Lexis as far as structured metadata goes. Nothing. Not a single string. It's like a desert in there. Unless these services cha…

For the benefit of those who might come upon this thread, note that bluebook-19th.csl has been withdrawn from service. You can track its possible reemergence at some future date via http://citationstylist.org/
-
Just lodging a note here that this has been implemented in CSL 1.0. http://citationstyles.org/downloads/upgrade-notes.html#editor-translator-name-collapsing
-
(leaving aside using "ed. and trans. by")If this is what CMS requires, it can be produced by CSL.
-
It's not suppressing because the listed names are editors rather than authors. I'll look at broadening the conditions to suppress the first-listed names of whatever type.
-
@q, Can you export the reference that is failing as Zotero RDF, paste it to http://gist.github.com/, save it as a public gist, and post the URL from the address bar back here? If it's a reproducible fault, I should be able to fix it.
-
@yaelronen: If you look in the current version of oscola.csl (in the main repository, not the new mlz-oscola.csl file from citationstylist.org), you'll find a macro commented out at line 596. If you uncomment that line, you should get URLs for web p…

Philippe is a contributor to the CitationStyles.org project, and has generously offered up a comprehensive study of 20 legal styles that I've received, but haven't yet examined. As our two branches of analysis converge, we'll be putting forward a de…

You can set a fixed locale on the style, which may help.
-
@adamsmith, Yes, it's a very odd situation. Please be assured that I'm not assuming this is the end of the matter; but discretion is the better part of valor, as they say. For what it's worth, there are a number of US law style projects out there,…

@megalta, Hi, I'm the author of the "Bluebook 19th ed." style. The style itself is incomplete, which is the cause of the "bb-periodical-subsequent" string that you're seeing in the output. I was at the point of putting in further work on the proje…
-
Can you describe the problem?
-
@ajlyon, +1 for adding a "periodical" type. This would permit discriminant formatting of legal looseleaf services as well, which would be very helpful. The OSCOLA style requires that the author and publisher information be dropped from cites to lo…

Just a note to say that Rintze opened a proposal ticket for this some time ago, and it's now been implemented in citeproc-js, pending approval for use in the official CSL schema.
