Don't bother creating a new thread. Glad this worked for you.

DOI is pretty much broken right now. A fix should happen really soon-- but the timing has been bad, with the holidays and all.
-
Zotero does not attempt to provide a complete system for segregating user data on a single computer. In your case, the problem is probably because the users would have to change the sync credentials and do a "restore from server" each time they star…

There are currently DOI issues in general-- they will hopefully be resolved soon.
-
Can you provide specific examples of how the field is used and examples of journals or styles that require it, preferably with examples of what precisely they request? I ask not because I don't believe you, but rather to make sure that we understand…

If you are using the French version of Firefox, this shouldn't be happening, nor with the en-GB locale. Zotero just uses the date system of the underlying locale (system or Firefox), so this really shouldn't happen.
-
The local library can be referred to with key 0.

See http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/15707/add-by-doi-fails-for-ieee-aip-elsevier-journals/#Item_10 -- the CrossRef service has changed their output, but we'll have it fixed soon (I hope).

There was a discussion of this ayear or so ago, and no concrete limitations were identified by the person who started it, although that person was quite concerned that perhaps Zotero might not be taking accessibility into account. At that point, Da…

That makes sense -- the SecurityManager issue was fixed in r7350, but 2.1b2 is only r7315. I don't think that it should be a problem in 2.0, so if you're about ready to push b3, maybe the updated DOI translator could be pushed at the same time.
-
That works, but I'm trying to do this without breaking support for the non-null namespace, since I expect CrossRef to go back to using the namespace declaration in the future. Unless I get some feedback on why my current approach is failing (curren…

Can you post the full code and an example XML file gist.github.com and post a link here? I'll take a look at it-- it's hard to follow without fuller context.
-
No, that actually looks not bad at all. I'm not sure whether a simple exporter could still maintain the collections and tags, but this wouldn't be very hard to do as a Zotero export translator.
-
The interactions between extensions are usually considered no-mans-land, unfortunately. This is a bug, but both sides are going to be loath to explore it, and it's hard to pin blame. Do any errors appear in the error console when you open the new Fi…

No-- it was mentioned by someone else who had actually written it some time ago, but set the project aside and only mentioned it again after the Delicious announcement made it particularly relevant. [Rintze: I understand completely. Note my origina…

I did look into writing an importer for HTML bookmark files, but I was put off by the lack of good documentation. It would be a good idea to write and importer and exporter for this ad hoc format, but no one has really taken up the idea.
-
No -- that's not it. That link is for Delicious Library integration (a different product). The only thing I can find right now is https://github.com/waynegraham/zoterolicious, which is for Yahoo! Delicious, but I did run into links to a two-way serv…

This is planned. See http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/15636/ and https://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/wiki/DatasetType Your comments on what else you might need to use the new type effectively are very much welcome at this stage, so we get this…

That mapping seems logical to me. Reading the thread, I don't think that we're missing anything else, but it would be great to hear from people who actually use this type regularly.
-
For those who are interested in this -- please look at the discussion at http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/15636 . If there are concrete changes that could be made to make Zotero better serve the bibliographic needs of people who do work with comp…
-
No, not really. Zotero is not designed as a bookmark manager in the sense that it would replace the built-in system, and as such it doesn't read or write the HTML-formatted bookmark file format that is the de facto standard for browsers. There is a…

Everyone here would love to have an Opera extension for Zotero. That's why the extensions for Chrome, IE and Safari are open-source. The Zotero team doesn't have the manpower to do any more -- but as has been said again and again, anyone with intere…

Option 1 is the recommended one. If you do these imports frequently, you can modify the BibTeX translator yourself.
-
If you just means supporting more sites with site translators -- yes, that would be great, but each of those translators needs to be written and maintained. I do think that the Create Item from Current Page could be made smarter.
-
Themes don't always take into account the way that extensions work. Perhaps someone can provide a list of Personas that work with Zotero, but my general recommendation is just to steer clear of them.
-
Does this persist through a restart of Firefox?
-
When I introduce a fallback to namespace = "", the DOI saves fine, but I get a security manager error when using a detected DOI: message => Security Manager vetoed action result => 2153185319 name => NS_ERROR_XPC_SECURITY_MANAGER_VETO filen…

Great work. In answer to your question about Chrome, note that you'll have to check out the Chrome extension from the repository as well. The "connector" extensions are at https://www.zotero.org/trac/browser/connector .

To safely copy and paste, you should first add the snapshot as an attachment to the item. Then view that image attachment, and drag it from the browser window to the note text. Unfortunately, there are still some problems with images in notes right …
