Glad to hear that the CrossRef data has been fixed. Thanks for your diligence!

Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/ISI Web of Knowledge.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). This is the latest version, and it should…

ScienceDirect is giving completely senseless RIS for the article: PY - /4// Y2 - 1989/6// PY is the primary date field, and Y2 is the secondary date. Unless this proves to be a very common issue for ScienceDirect, I'm more inclined to report the …

When you hover the cursor over the save icon on pages like http://www.jstor.org/stable/10.1086/660846, what does it say? It sounds to me like the JSTOR translator is completely broken for you, and you're seeing fallback to DOI. If so, you need to r…

Best practice is to keep the titles in Sentence case, since conversion to Title Case is a one-way street, and not all styles require Title Case. When you cite anything in a context that requires Title Case, it'll come out in Title Case even if you u…

This is a known limitation of the current model, and it will hopefully be fixed in one of the next major releases of Zotero. See https://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/issues/13 In the meantime, it is sometimes possible to put this in the date field…

It seems that the latest, fixed version of the EBSCO translator may not have made it into the current 2.1.8 release of Zotero (it will be in 3.0b1 and in 2.1.9). Try installing it manually: go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/EBSCO…

These work in the Zotero Standalone 3.0b1 builds that are currently being worked on: https://groups.google.com/d/msg/zotero-dev/-/TvW144RP9j8J I'm not sure why it's not working for you with Standalone, but there's no reason to be concerned unless t…

It sounds like you're running the translator from a different page than I expected. The debug output for a successful save looks like this: (4)(+0003426): Translate: Parsing code for IEEE Xplore (3)(+0000007): Translate: Beginning translation with I…

Don't use drag-and-drop for bibliography creation; use the Word integration plugin: http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_integration
-
It seems to me that Zotero should be able to fetch the style if it's missing-- especially for styles in the Zotero style repository.
-
Is the debug output still the same after installing the translator from Github?
-
Wait-- you can't open the tag? Or there's a note like this, but the tag opens anyway?
-
The note is harmless-- it means that an unexpected response was received from the server. The causes of it are being ironed out; what operating system (name & version) and browser (name & version) are you using?
-
The article could be in your Zotero trash folder, which is synced along with the rest of your data.

Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/Wiley Online Library.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). It should start working again. If this wo…

Done. You can reinstall from the Github URL above to get author names, newspaper sections, and snapshots.
-
Can you provide an exact URL you're using?
-
I believe you're working with a old version of the translator. The latest version of it works fine for me on that page. Go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/IEEE Xplore.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zoter…

The Cochrane Library is just using our standard Wiley translator, but I can't test the PDF saving since I don't have access to full-text for their publications. Can you provide an error ID (Report errors... in the gear menu) for a failed save attemp…

Can you provide some URLs with author names? I know that part wasn't working, but I didn't have to time to track down articles with listed authors.

The Star website has changed significantly, but: Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/Toronto Star.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). …

The web lead for Zotero mentioned in a different thread that that is something that appears on browsers that don't support the HTML 5 history API, which enables control over the forward-back button behavior. The errors should be harmless, and are du…

If the API could provide citeproc-compatible JSON for items (how hard could that be?), then citeproc-js could be used by API consumers (i.e., Zotpress) to use custom CSL that is not in the main repository (and you don't want site-specific CSL in the…

But custom styles can't yet be used with the Zotero API and thus with Zotpress.

adamsmith: Can you open a ticket in the issue tracker for compiler with the citation info on it and link back here? I'll look into treatment of compiler in standards like Bibliontology-- can't say I've ever run into it before. This will need both Zo…

Glad to see this is working now, and nice work on the mashup!

Rewriting is on, at least in that rewritten URLs still resolve.

I'm pretty sure that the https links would be fine according to the Atom specification. But the mere presence of http links shouldn't break anything. Content fetched over HTTP on an HTTPS page would cause errors/warnings, but Zotero's feed is served…
