How do I drag my folder structure to my colleague's group? This will place aliases for my items in his Zotero library, is that correct? Then he can use Zotero tools to search them, etc.?
-
Hello, I would like to share my library with the representative of a group as described by adamsmith in #2 above. I have added the private group to my account on Zotero.org. Do I now have to drag my entire library into that group's library? Where s…

I have saved the bibliography. There is no RTF choice in the Export function. How do I go backward to search results so I can save this bibliography as RTF? Where do I do right-click (I use a Mac).

Do you think you could make the merge recognize Book Section sub to Book and populate the Book Section fields with the Book information?
-
How do I merge them? If I may suggest, you might utilize the hierarchy Book / Book Section so that the merge alone populates the needed fields for the Book Section bibliography.
-
To properly cite a Book Section, some of the Book information should be included in the bibliography for that item. If I could drag and drop the Book Section onto the Book or otherwise show the relationship of the Book Section to the Book, perhaps…

This happened twice today. Case 1: I found an essay on a Web site. I added it to Zotero via URL. Then I looked up the authors to see if it had been published as a paper and found it was a book chapter. I changed the type to Book Section and then ad…

As it turned out, I found the Book Section as a standalone item before I found that it was a chapter from a book, so I added the Book item afterward. This is not unusual in my research, btw.
-
I meant in the Book Section item, I need to manually complete the fields embedded in the Book item for a full bibliography of the Book Section item.
-
So I have to complete the fields for the Book Section to create a fully detailed bibliography item?
-
In this case, I found a paper that turned out to be a chapter of a book. I added the Book, then I changed the paper type to Book Section and added the book title in that record. From the Book item, I added the Book Section as related. It seems to m…

The Zotero Connector button appeared in my browser toolbar overnight. This really happened.

Thank you. I also found the "Unlink Citations" command in my Zotero plug-in, where it's called "Remove Field Codes." I am well on my way to submitting my paper by March 15.

I have sets of multiple citations. I have added, changed, or deleted citations within the sets. I'm not using prefix or suffix. All I want to do is convert plain vanilla citations and bibliography from one style to another. Thanks for the tip abou…

"Don't use edit citation. Not sure what types of changes you were planning to make, but you should never edit citations when planning to use or using a numeric style." I'm confused about this. Based on prior advice here, I set my style to APA so I …

" Yes, but you can also just do what I said above to revert the changes. " Then NO would be the better choice, as you can update the citation again (using the Edit Citation red bar or correcting the Zotero entry) before you get confused about what …

This may not be an active problem for me, as I made a copy of my backup and ran the Refresh again on that. There were no error messages. Does that mean I can trust Zotero has updated everything that needs to be updated? "Do you want to keep your mo…

APA style assigns a, b, c in citations according to alpha order of the item title? I will be changing back to SAGE Vancouver superscript number style, I guess I'll see what that does with the bibliography.
-
I have an issue related to disambiguation. I have three different authors literally named Pseudonymous, all 2020. In APA author-date style, I see Zotero has cleverly inserted a, b, c after each of them. However, the first appearance of the citation…

Word progressively updated the fields after each operation sequence. If I remember correctly, this is not unusual behavior for Word, I think I've run into it years ago pre-Zotero.

How do I make a saved search a sub-folder to an existing folder?
-
I've run into a bug -- I changed the setting to APA, refreshed, the citations updated to author-date in only the first 3.5 pages of 17 pages. I enabled "Automatically update citations", the above did not correct. I Refreshed, the above did not corr…

It's important to compare all the results by date. For example, I may not want the most recent paper answering to a tag, one a couple of years back might be the more complete review. Opening the entries one by one from the search results -- you'd n…

I changed the citation style to APA, nothing happened to change the citations already in the document. I had to Refresh to get the document to display APA author-date citation style.
-
Theoretically trivial but very time-consuming! Looking forward to seeing the Date column added. Thanks.
-
Thanks for the suggestion. Having looked at the field codes, which would be a very messy time-consuming search process, I think toggling to "author-date" citation style rather than "date" would be a better way to review citations (if it preserves m…

The journal wants SAGE Vancouver style. In Document Preferences, I have radio buttons for only Fields or Bookmarks in SAGE Vancouver or APA style. I have been using Fields, which insert superscript numbers for citations. In the Style Editor for AP…

That's a good idea. Where is the setting for date style? Thanks.

Is there a way we can get a preview of the citation contents without opening Edit Citation?
