Ok, now I understand more about how this works. And I know how to seek an OA version with unpaywall as a prefix, without having to load the VOR and then use the plugin, so that's a win :)

Thank you!

So I'm not very patient -- I just disabled both plugins, without testing them separately. The slowness can happen in all kinds of situations -- when I'm searching in my Zotero library for a record, when I'm trying to toggle a tag on or off. When I a…

So I noticed, in January 2024, that I get a richer snapshot if I click on the "expand all content" button of a clinicaltrials.gov record webpage. Is there any way to get that to happen automatically, so that I could add to Zotero multiple records, w…

Looks good to me. And wow, installing the new style was super easy -- one click and it did itself!

Sorry, I forgot to follow up. I just tried again, and yes, the items have actual dates. Here's the order (when using the APA CV style): - an item with the item type "web page," date 2019, and no access date - an item with the item type "web page," …

OK, back with more questions about "Find Available PDF." I just tried that command on a record that I had in my Zotero library already, without a PDF. The record had the DOI and a ScienceDirect URL. I'm on campus and ScienceDirect recognizes our IP …

Would be nice to bring back. +1 Especially because publishers so often stop providing access to supplemental files. On the other hand, the disorganization that leads to lost supplemental files is probably *why* it's hard to keep such a feature work…

Closing the loop -- the problem went away. Thanks though!

OK, thanks

Hi, chiming in to say - I think accessibility is a high-priority issue and I hope a great, experienced developer has been hired. I don't use screen readers myself but as a librarian I just spoke with a library user who does, and uses EndNote becaus…

Thanks

Hi, is this still the case, that there are no graphical slide apps that Zotero can work with elegantly? Thanks!
-
PS I wrote to the KoreaMed people but got no response.

Thanks! As my colleague said, "user forums can be magical places," especially when the rapid response team adamsmith and dstillman are involved!

Picking up this old conversation to see if I have it right this time (thanks in advance for the fact checking!): 1. If I'm adding records to my Zotero library via the connector, and I have the "adutomatically attach associated PDFs when saving items…

Quick follow up -- am I correct in understanding that, for gated PDFs, when I use the "find available PDF" command, *if* I have set up my institution's link resolver in the Zotero preferencse, then the "find available PDF" command will work pretty w…

Yet another reason to have adblocker/privacy plugins: so that pages load faster so that I can use the Zotero button faster :)

Hmm, I noticed it at https://force11.org/post/fsci-attendance-inspires-scholarly-publishing-literacy-additions-to-mph-course/. I had enough time to compare with a page in a different browser tab (that was already fully loaded). But maybe I was just …

That bit about tapping and holding on a collection to download all the files -- super, really helpful. Is there some documentation with this and other features of the iPad app are written out? Thanks
-
Thanks for the info

Hmm, let me think. Copy and paste, yes. Drag into a word doc, also yes. But no, no alignment problem with the Word add-on.

Hi, I am also experiencing this or something similar. For me, the number is right aligned, then on the next line the citation is left aligned. Then the next number is right, the next citation left, etc. Would love to fix it.

Thanks, amazing how I can skate by an important paragraph right in front of me.

I just want to say that I reported this issue to Scopus at the same time as I posted here, and Zotero developers have been a lot more helpful than the company that my institution is paying $$$$. Thank you for looking in to it.

The Scopus Article number is e0188258, doi 10.1371/journal.pone.0188258. Some more insights: The same Scopus article page that says there are 135 cited references only *shows* 80 of them. If I use the Scopus link to see the cited references in sea…

Thanks for telling me, I had no idea :)

Thanks, good to know. I didn't realize all the options for locating -- Zotero does so well (combined with my library subscriptions) at PDF retrieval that I've rarely needed to look!
