Cheers. It worked. It was hard to find that option. Perhaps, by default it should be disabled?

#Seikou > I just checked NeuroTree and found it rather off-putting. This is precisely the kind of oversimplification that should be avoided: do scholars truly draw all their inspiration exclusively from one mentor? Sorry, but simply the examp…

I'm not sure exactly what kind of thesaurus software you're talking about. Could you paste a link to a screen shot or something? If you're talking about something like Visual Thesaurus, which shows you a cloud of linked words, that wasn't really wha…

I've never used any genealogical software but the closest I can think of is NeuroTree, which is an online service that allows you to see "family trees" of researchers in neuroscience. It has very simple "tree" view, and it works fine. Perhaps, "marr…

Yes, I think there will be a trade-off too. How should Tag Selector represent multiple parents? Are we comfortable with seeing a tag "A" as standalone, and as a child of tag "B" and "C" at the same time in the Tag Selector Box, i.e. multiple appeara…
-
Thanks, that's what I meant to say. One of more complicated issues is whether to accept multiple parent tags at the same level for a child tag. It might work.

"If you know the topic of your research, you certainly know that "primary motor area" is part of the neocortex and the brain, so making that relation explicit to yourself is rather pointless." I do not agree with your point at all. I certainly do k…

Yeah, I guessed so too. Does this mean the next update of Zotero would solve the problem for both Firefox and Standalone versions? Do I just have to wait?
-
I installed Zotero 4 beta. It's OK with Zotero Firefox. But Firefox standalone still has the same issue (the same error message). Debug ID D2015894035
-
I see, so we just have to wait. Thanks a lot.

That sounds cool! And the code looks pretty straightforward indeed.
-
Cheers. Yeah, I can see ^⌥E and others. Easy to forget them, though. Your guess may be right, but right click may be more intuitive and accessible, giving you sense of better integration, perhaps. You could show the shortcut keys on the context menu…

Thanks. Sorry, I searched for "tags" only. Glad to know that I wasn't the only one. It requires clearly a lot of work.
-
It happened again, and it turned out to be the scrolling problem, as you pointed out. The other items only seemed to disappear but they were simply scrolled out from the view.
-
In the video, there is often a wide white space at the top of the list in the middle pane. In my case, I've never seen such a white space at the top; items were always listed from the top without a space. So I think it's a different phenomenon.
-
It didn't seem the scrolling problem to me. In my memory, it was like when you used the tag selector or search query box to narrow the list down. But I cannot reproduce the phenomena any longer, so I can't be sure at the moment.
-
Well, it means quite literally. Just editing the tags pane of an item shouldn't affect the items shown in the middle pane, but it just affected. That's the point. All items except an item were hidden as I edited the tags pane of the new item. Then, …

It seems quite unstable. Now it seems OK. What I meant was that, after the edit, while the new item was still shown in the right pane, it disappeared from the middle pane. Instead a randomly chosen (apparently) item or items were shown in the m…

> The other item in the middle pane was shown as selected? No, only the new item was selected. D25748874 D550643813 Thanks.

I just tried it again. No. Tag selector was not used. Without selecting any tag in the tag selector box, I assigned tags to a new item and the item dissipated from the centre column (the item is still visible in the right column). Instead, only anot…

With Zotero 3.0.8, the Word plugin finally worked on my Mac for Office 2011!

Thanks a lot! I'm looking forward to later versions, then. :) Best, ODON

If it is something like "Brain Res" instead of "Brain Res.", you can manually modify the "Journal Abbr" field of each item in your Zotero library and add "."s where they should be (e.g. "Brain Res."). I think it's generally difficult to automat…

Thanks, good to know about the progress. I'm looking forward to seeing and using those new functions, then. :)

I agree with torbjoernklatt. In my case, 'Author1 and Author2' became 'Author1 と Author2' for English-wirtten articles (i.e. 'and' was translated into 'と' in Japanese). Although I basically use English version of Zotero, I was still annoyed. …

I created Glossary - Japanese on Transifex. It would be useful for this kind of discussion. https://www.transifex.net/projects/p/zotero/glossary/l/ja_JP/?glossary_language=ja_JP

Even though your are not non-native, you seem to be only a person (so far) who're interested in this topic. Inevitably, your opinion counts much. Come to think of it, among the examples above, Citation Style is a term related to computer, rathe…

Thank you for the response. I had already launched Japanese 'team' in TransFex (currently I am the only member of it). I've done a bit of translations, but I need a policy about translation. Otherwise, it would become messy. I found this issue …
