Your question is perfectly understandable. You can also try your native language, since many people on these forums speak some other language than english as their first language. I do not known what the problem might be, but providing a debug ID m…

You need to describe your problem in more detail. What exactly does not work. Also this may help http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/no_status_bar_icon

s3.amazonaws.com is the Amazon storage service used by a large number of services that run on the Amazon cloud. Your work IT should probably not block the domain. Zotero has used the Amazon service for a long time, there has not been any recent cha…

The PsycARTICLES database seems to be ajax based, so that complicates things.

The documentation shows with screenshots how to set up multiple filters and describes that you can use that for collections as well. I do not really understand how else to explain this.
-
Which part of the documentation is not clear on that? What have you tried this far?
-
"What's the use case?" means what do you want accomplish by listing items that belong to multiple collections. You can use advanced search to set up a search like "show all items that belong to Collection a and Collection B". You can also use saved…

Yes, it was not there. For some reason I had only 300 translators. After resetting the translators, I now have 434 translators, including ovid. The translator now attempts to import search results, but it gets incorrect articles. And it does not im…

Any ideas why the ovid translator is not installed on my computer and how to install it?
-
It seems that the OVID translator is missing on my computer. Has it been disabled, or is my installation broken?

I do not really understand your problem. You can just drop the items into the right collection in the collection list of the group library. If this is not the answer to your question, can you clarify what you mean? (particularly with this "difficult…

Yes, I am talking about search results.

I did not restart Firefox. I clicked on "reset translators" and then "update now" If it helps, I can restore a backup of the broken translators directory and do any tests that you need to diagnose this further. (My problem is solved, now, though)
-
Created an issue https://github.com/zotero/zotero/issues/282 Before posting on the forum, I tried resetting the translators, but that did not solve the issue. Only deleting them manually helped.
-
I just restored the full data directory because it was one click instead of two clicks that it would have taken to restore the database and storage directory. I did trash the translators and now it works. In my opinion, click on the "Update now" b…

The translator seems to be out of date. I am now working with Standalone and Safari connector. I open the Zotero preferences and Advanced and check the data directory. The JSTOR translator on my computer has "lastUpdated": "2012-04-14 03:12:00" …

That's system proxy, and it should not matter. Another proxy with the following url also fails http://www.jstor.org.libproxy.aalto.fi/stable/3875278 Report id with the second attempt 360400744 (with Firefox) The log shows no relevant errors. I be…

I am using a proxy and I can access the site and download PDFs just fine. And I have never had a problem with this proxy before. The proxy states that it's name is "wwwproxy.hut.fi (squid/2.6.STABLE4-20061009)" if that is of any help.

Well, this may be the cause of slowness: "Your access to this site has been temporarily blocked. This block is temporary and will usually be automatically removed in a few minutes. The most frequent cause of this is sending too many requests too q…

If you want to do backups, wouldn't it be simpler to just use the backup tool that Windows 7 provides? There is really no reason not to do full backups of your computer or your user profile. I find it very unlikely that Zotero would be changed bec…

None of the characters you listed are reserved characters on windows http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa365247(v=vs.85).aspx I recommend that you try another zip program, but why would you like to zip the zotero data directo…

This is not currently possible, but this kind of functionality may be possible in the future. In any case, if you are working with a colleague, you should consider using a group library instead of two separate libraries.
-
Zotero is platform independent, so developing a platform specific API (i.e. Automator) is unlikely. You probably could make an app for this, but it would require some javascript coding on your part. If you really want to do that, you can get help w…

I am fairly sure that no such software exists. Why do you not want to use a reference management software? Zotero's citation inserting dialog is probably a lot faster to use (at least with keyboard shortcuts) than typing or copy pasting DOIs to th…

This would be really useful. I do not know how feasible it would be to implement in a Firefox plugin, though.
-
You can set up two firefox profiles to achieve that. But there are generally very few reasons to do that. Why would you like to do that?
-
Zotero does not keep version history, but just the most recent version. You can click on "My Library" on the top of this page to check the items in your online library and when they have been added and last edited.

Have you checked this page http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/no_status_bar_icon

You will make your life a lot easier by having just one account. If you have data in your personal account, I suggests that you get this account added to the work group library and then delete the work account. Or you can use your personal account f…

This should really go to the zotero-dev list.
