Have you checked the LyX tracker for this discussion about Zotero integration? http://www.lyx.org/trac/ticket/6300

Here is another report number. When I initially get the red circle telling that there was an error, the popup says Report ID: 68f0f3e5 . After I click the report error button, I get a new ID 1145303099

I have exactly the same problem. I have imported approximately 200 articles with the option to automatically convert keywords to tags. When I try to sync, I need to confirm each of these tags manually resulting in tens if not hundred dialogs. Eventu…

I have posted the same feature request to LyX Trac http://www.lyx.org/trac/ticket/6300
-
Restarting firefox fixed the issue.
-
I noticed it 30 mins ago. The last time I synced was approximately 24h before that and that went through without any problems.
-
Same problem here. No proxy in use. This just started happening. Going to https://sync.zotero.org/, I get not error messages or prompts to accept the certificate. Report ID 559592313 I do not believe that this is an issue with other extens…

One way would be to create a folder and then create hard links to all your PDFs to this folder On my mac I do this with the following commmand find /Users/mronkko/Documents/Research/Zotero\ Data/storage/ -name *.pdf -exec ln {} . \; …

At least with gnome desktop and nautilus file browser, you can create saved searches. From the user interface perspective, they are similar to folders. Just do a search and then save it from the file menu. The save -option is not very visible, …

I know that it is not a reliable metric, but it could still be useful because it would correlate with the usefulness of the reference in the long run. Also it would enable the user to identify references that he has never used and to purge these.
-
I second this feature request. PDF viewer is an external application, so I doubt that it would be possible to integrate it easily.

This is a duplicate, please detele http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/7986/highlighting-searched-words/#Item_0

LyX rocks, but it takes some time to get used to. I have previously tried to get Zotero work under wine, but without success.
-
We are using the exact same software (I am using OS X 10.6, but I do not think that it matters.) and what you describe has always worked for me. If it does not work for you, giving as much information as you can to the developers will help it to get…

Can you post a video of you doing the same thing so that I can see if you do it the same way? If you have the latest quicktime, you can do a screen recording and then post it to youtube.
-
I have exactly the same software versions and it does work for me. If I open Zotero pane, create a new collection and keep the collection selected, and then import an item, the item goes to this new collection. Here is a short video to show how…
-
The collections are located within your main library. Anything that goes to a collection inside a library also goes to the library. On my computer, If I have a collection selected and import an item, it goes to the selected collection automatically.

Indeed, it does remember that. Would it be better to have ISO-8859-1 as default instead of UTF, since Also, according to wikipedia, en dash is the proper punctuation mark for ranges of numbers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dash#En_dash, so it w…

Is it possible to change the default encoding form UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1? . The problem here is that we have very heterogeneous computing environment and using UTF breaks things.
-
The problem is that my tex compiler does not support UTF-8 and even if it did, there is no guarantee that the people who I work with have UTF capable TeX environments. Moreover, I see little downsides in the reverse conversion. What comes to s…

If I export the imported item as RIS, I get TY - JOUR ID - 754 T1 - The changing software business: Moving from products to services JF - Computer A1 - Cusumano,M. A PY - 2008/// SP - 20–27 EP - 20–27 ER - So appa…

Bump. I hate to bump threads, but would like to have this bug with a test case noted.
-
There is some documentation available for developers http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/start

This seems to be fixed in a3 version of the plugin.

Well, I guess one could still make an argument for per-library indicators, in that it indicates whether those libraries contain modified items... But since the whole sync happens together, I don't know if that's really helpful information. This i…
-
I would vote for having an indicator for each library that needs to be synced. 1) No indicator if sync is disable 2) Green circular arrow if the library is synced 3) Red triangle with black bar inside if the library contains changes that are n…

I got the module not initialized error after sync was complete. However, I have not been able to replicate that and now Zotero is working like it should.
-
The entire sync upload is in a single transaction, so a "partial sync" isn't really possible...or shouldn't be. I do not know what happened, but that sync from earlier this year did not include all of my items for some reason. We'll take a look. Th…

Now that I have posted this, the sync started to work magically. I have been trying to sync several times and only now I got an error message that a tag that I had was too long. After deleting this tag, sync seems to proceed like it should.
