Yes, you can do this with groups. http://www.zotero.org/support/groups

It is not a software issue. It is about finding a person that is committed to maintaining such tracker. Once there is a well working and maintained tracker, I have no doubts that Zotero will link to the tracker from the forums. Before suggesting…

Fitri: please start a new thread. This is a separate problem.

Your question is a bit difficult to understand. If you could provide more context, that would allow people to provide a better response. Modifying the database directly is not necessarily the best option. You should probably check this project to s…

rfinney: I need more details from you. Where did you download ZoteroQuicklook? What kind of error message you get? When I last tested with Windows 7, I had no problems using the plugin.

I have never used SCCM and not used Windows for many years, so cannot give you any specific advice on that platform. On my work Mac, I get centrally managed Zotero Standalone installed through Munki (http://code.google.com/p/munki/) Would these li…

Why would you want to do that? If you want to deploy Zotero in a computer lab, it is much better to install it system wide http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installing_extensions#Global_installation Also, should the script work on Windows, Mac, Linux, or …

I would think that It solves proposal 1 mostly. What would still remains as a problem is merging two documents that have been written using different libraries. I am suggesting a solution for this problem here http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/…

Here is one more discussion that is relevant https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/zotero-dev/7ITP6mDuSBw

I second this request. Here are a couple of related threads http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/23292/replacing-citations-with-a-copy-from-different-library/ http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/19350/option-to-disable-libraries/ I have written …

Zotero keeps a local copy of your library on your computer, and uses the server as backup and synchronization. If you are taking regular backups of your computer, you are fine. If not, then you have a bigger problem than just the possibility of loos…

As you responded to yourself, it does work. If you are worried about data loss inside encrypted drive or performance, you should ask this from the vendor of the encryption software. This is not really related to Zotero. I am using Zotero with a Ma…

Please be more specific about the request. How would this work and why it would be useful? Would quote be like a note so that it is related to an item and can contain text, or would it need to be something different? Would this require extra functio…

Are you aware that you can use Adobe Professional to convert image only PDFs to searchable text?
-
Right click on item and choose "Rename file from parent metadata" For folder naming, see http://www.columbia.edu/~jpl2136/zotfile.html
-
All your files are stored on your computer. Just configure the WebDAV server in Zotero, and Zotero will upload them there. It is not possible to combine several storage services.
-
They are not copies of the item. Collections are like playlists, one item can belong to many without being a copy. I do not think that removing and adding with a single action has been implemented.

I believe that the data will be separate. You can check this in the preferences: Check the data storage folder location. If it points to your profile, then data will be separate. (I am fairly sure that this is the case) I think that -p is just a sh…

You can use different profiles, like on Firefox. Start the standalone from the command line with the -p switch On Mac: /Applications/Zotero.app/Contents/MacOS/zotero -p You should probably configure the switch as a parameter to the shortcut that y…

I see what you mean. So you want a more control in publishing your "My Library", and this request has nothing to do with groups. This makes sense, and you should probably post to the feature requests forum about this. Part of my confusion was cause…

gschrock: Your comment about groups and libraries does not make sense. A group and a library are basically the same thing. You need to clarify what you mean. Do you mean that you want to share collections from your "My Library"?
-
I doubt that this will happen any time soon because of technical challenges: How would Zotero know that it is receiving a bundle instead of just a normal folder? I do not think that the framework on which Zotero is built knowns the difference.

I would vote for this as well.

It seems that including URLs is done very inconsistently. I emailed the journal and asked how they would like to have it. (Shmueli and Koppius 2011) cites a published journal paper and provides an URL as well Vaughan, T. S., and Berry, K. E. 2005…

Well, I have a paper in review in this journal, so I might just email the editor about this and ask him. Which article are these sample reference from?
-
I can fix this, but can you point out where MISQ defines how URLs are cited. What is the item type for the Example 1?
-
In my experience, it takes a couple of minutes for emails to zotero-dev list to go through.
-
You can do something like that with Chicago Note style. I made an example for you: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/694399/Example.docx
-
Just install Zotero for Firefox. If you have standalone open, the Zotero for Firefox will work just like the Safari connector.
