Not sure what you mean here. When not selected, Title behaves like all other fields, expanding enough to show the full content. The only difference is that, like Abstract and Extra, when selected it gives you more room to type in, because longer val…

Yes, that was why I meant. Thanks for the workaround. It's mainly on my iPad where zipping from app to app is less convenient.

For the record, I can't authenticate either: [JavaScript Error: "SyntaxError: DOM Exception 12" {file: "safari-extension://org.zotero.zoteroconnectorforsafari-69X6C999F9/9e1b6d63/http.js" line: 115}] [JavaScript Error: "OAuth request failed with 0…

I'm in sympathy with the overall idea that Zotero needs more keyboard commands. The ones it does have should also be in menus and not just hidden in the prefs. (Talking standalone here.) Also, they shouldn't be only shift-command. Zutilo is good f…

The error I get in the pref pane is: Authorization could not be completed. An invalid response was received from the Zotero server
-
I'm using standalone, so no problems saving things, but for the record I can't authorize either. Mavericks 10.9.5 Safari 9.0.1 (9537.86.2.7.2) Zotero 4.0.28.8

+1 from me on this. I do save Chronicle articles fairly often, so this is a pain. I took a stab at updating the translator...minimally. Not quite sure how to add the test case, so I didn't, but this article is the one I'm looking at: http:…

Yes! And so endeth the repeated lamentation.
-
Yes, I saw that, but aside from not addressing the problem with the link that you note, there's this big "Update Zotero" button that draws one's eye. :-)
-
Yes, I downloaded and installed without a problem.

Does Zotero not read these meta rage because they're not in a standard format it recognizes, or is it something else?

Thanks.

Ah, that's helpful. I knew about tabbing. I like the more expansive search, since I use tags. (My biggest peeve about the search field is that it (usually?) doesn't select all the current text when you command-F back into it after doing other thing…

Ah, that explains it. It'd be great if that were a preference though. I'm usually looking for something specific and the more items I can see, the better. On my machine, focus remains on the search field, so typing a - just puts one in there. Inste…

Ah, that did it. Thanks! And for posterity, here's my script, which changes one field based on the value of another. I'm using it to insert journal abbreviations by journal name. Setting the two field names to the same thing should work just like t…

Pretty sure this is what's happening. Is there some way to have the js search only the local library?
-
I was thinking the same thing and it's certainly possible. Is it possible to prevent that?
-
Hmmm, I unchecked the "Content Window" box (which I think I had checked when trying to troubleshoot), and it's working for some values, but not others. Instead I'm getting this error: Cannot edit item in read-only Zotero library
-
Does execute.js still work? On my Mac I get a "Missing ( after for" error. If I take out the "each" I then get "ReferenceError: Zotero is not defined".

I checked a bunch of JSTOR RIS exports and they all had JO as the journal title and no abbreviation at all. I don't suppose the RIS translator cares where the RIS comes from? I'll be complaining -again, IIRC, to JSTOR about this. You guys don't…

Just want to add in here for posterity: I wanted to find entries with "bad" journal abbreviations, which most of the time for me means that the abbreviation is the same as the title. There's no way to do that in a saved search (smart collection…

Yes, I was talking about Zotero's native BibTeX export. Should've been clearer about that.
-
I started doing this just the other day too. A related bug, I think, is that Zotero will export "$" as part of the citation key when it occurs in a title. pandoc barfs on this, as use of $ seems not to be recommended, if not a technical error. …

Any progress on this? Safari on a Mac with the standalone.
-
Yes, I figured it would need an app too, which is why I was just throwing it out there. It doesn't seem like it would need to be a big app if it just took the request and did what the bookmarklet does. I'll leave some feedback with Papership.

Not sure what you mean by this. What I want to do is click on the share button when reading in, say, Safari, and have zotero be an option, like Pocket is.
-
Yeah, too bad. I would like to have this feature.

This is killing me. :-P
