Didn't know that was an option. Also good to know. Could @MegSears instead use a Group Library?
-
Good to know. Thanks so much, Adam! So an account that has been synced needs to be imported, rather than simply attached to the account that will be the holder. And every computer will be getting the entire master library on its local drive?
-
Once you've synced, and then you choose not to sync anymore, is there a residual change in your local data that would alert a brand new account that this data was once synced elsewhere?
-
Got it. So the identifier is assigned upon syncing?
-
Adam, I want to make sure I understand the dynamic of losing a local library if it's been synced to a different account previously. Am I understanding that if I have already added material to a library and then set up syncing to an account, it will …

I'm not a Zotero developer, @cchaufan, but I hope you can get answers. Meanwhile, if I can help, I am happy to. Zotero is too good and Release 7 is going to be even better. I've been using Zotero for 12 years, and keep finding new benefits. I teach …

Thanks, Adam.

Thanks, Dan.

QUOTED--- Not sure I was missing something before, but it seems there is a new feature: going with the mouse over a note, the note text is displayed. This is a truly wonderful feature. ...but would it be possible to resize the window so that I can r…

It opens as you had it the last time you opened it. I am not aware of a way to automatically collapse all folders of a particular level, but it can be quickly done with your left-arrow key on A.1, A.2, and A.3. The right-arrow will open them back ag…

Perhaps this would help: https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#zotero_toolbar_doesn_t_appear

Here's a video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jCoAZZUNXYYjJ0RdxLo-Ve-6D0nP3TiV/view?usp=sharing It does not show it very well when I select a set of cells, but hopefully you get the gist.

P.S. I'm in 6.0.26 on Windows 11.
-
I would love to have this, as well. Meanwhile, though, there are various workarounds. You can double-click on note items to open them in multiple freestanding windows and spread them around on your desktop. You can open multiple copies of your Zoter…

You can do it with the Zotero OCR plugin: https://github.com/UB-Mannheim/zotero-ocr

Thanks, @mjthoraval, and so sorry for the duplication. I usually search, but must not have. Glad to know this. Plugins it will be.

Oops, I meant thanks, @mjthoraval!

Wow from me, too! Thanks, Cab!

I am seeing a box in the bottom left of the PDF Reader screen that lets me filter to the pages where a tag was added to a comment.
-
Does this have a PC equivalent?
-
If we could help with tagging, that would be great. Our developers are working 24/7 already, or it sure seems that way. Their responsiveness on this forum amazes me. I can't imagine they'll ever have time to read back through old posts to flag what …

I echo that, AmosBlanton. Zotero and its developers are an extraordinary gift to the planet.

I'm on 6. I tried it again today. It worked the first time properly. But once the browser was open in the background and I tried again, it opened the link target in the browser, but left the browser in the background. I'm using Chrome on Windows 11.
-
Wonderful! I tested and it works great, except for triggering the expected error if I try to change the same record at the same time in two different places. Very useful.
-
Perfect! Thanks.
-
+1 for me, as well.
-
Outstanding. The last time I used Mendeley, it stopped me at 3.
-
I came to the forum this morning to ask the same. It would be a tremendous help to eliminate the retyping.

My theory is that I chose "Show File" rather than View Snapshot. I must have right-clicked on the file and chosen the Adobe Acrobat option. In answering "always," I set a Windows app default. So sorry to have wasted your time, Dan. Thanks for your h…
