Wonderful! I'll try that and may provide feedback.

I am not sure whether this solution can solve the issue. By the way, why are we bothering ourselves in the first place by storing the dataset as a Document? I am saying that along with too many items that now we have under the Info-> Item Type …

Regarding my last comment about institutional authors, I think it is extremely necessary to have the Database as one of the Item Types. I am not sure whether it has been addressed in other posts.

Hi, Has this issue been resolved? It was mentioned long before here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/12458/organizational-authors Also, there is a ticket for that here: https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/1229

Many thanks.

Thanks @bwiernik I appreciate, since I didn't know the feature. Besides, I'm not an advanced user and hope to be able to that. By the way, I'll backup before every changes. But, for normal users, it would be easier to do that in a simpler manner…

@DWL-SDCA thanks for your comments. Sorry, but there are some misunderstandings here. I don't remember that I said anything about the automatic correction –– please correct me if I'm wrong. The only thing that I want to convey is we have had this …

At all, have you ever thought about how many "different" creators you have in your library? Another example: Have you ever faced this confusing situation regarding a particular author? 1. James G. March 2. James March 3. James G March Although t…

Thanks. But, I can’t relate your comment. The point that I’m trying to convey is we need to view, organize, and analyze the content of our libraries from different points of views. One of them is about authors, meaning we must be able to scan every …

Hey, thanks for your replies and I agree to some degree. But, let me clarify my points. 1. As always, I want to emphasize that I believe Zotero should be seen as a knowledge management software. Otherwise, users or developers trying to think about…

Hello, It is getting really frustrating. There must be a way to consolidate different formats of the name of same author to one single one. Is there anyway? This is really annoying that you can’t sort all the articles of ONE AUTHOR because there m…

Hi, I agree with @bjohas. I believe that Zotero, in a broad sense, is about managing and providing easy access to the overwhelming information and data around us. At least, there should be a way to be more organized in this forum. Regards, Ali

I see the updates are coming for the extensions (in Chrome, for instance, there is the version 5.0.53 is installed), however, in Safari the extension won’t get updated for a reason that I don’t know. the latest version is 5.0.51, and one time or ano…

These shortcuts for citing on iOS are gorgeous!

Hi everyone, I don’t know whether it’s a bug or a feature but it really hurts. Tags being case sensitive just make redundancy and it is time consuming to solve. Is there any solution to make tags case insensitive?

Hi everybody, I wanted to raise this topic to ask whether there is a way to have other options for secondary sort; such as sort by issue and so on. Thanks, Ali

I went through it and this is what I am seeing on Mac; totally crap. https://imgur.com/a/ppngS74

It seems that the method mentioned above (in another thread) is useful for the Windows. Is that the case? Please let me know.
-
I don’t know why but the extension is working properly and smoothly.
-
Incidentally, that was not a great effort that I had thought at the beginning. For instance, with this search criteria one can simply categorize PDF file in Zotero storage folder into different kinds of publications: https://imgur.com/a/xXoJkyL

Thanks for your answer. I think it might be a good idea to have this feature, since one, especially a Mac user, can create a Smart Finder Folder searching the Zotero storage folder and have collections of PDFs concerning associated publications in…

Thanks! It did work :)

Agree. Although it was previously discussed before the release of macOS Mojave, nothing is going to work perfectly for changing the theme. By the way, it would be very great to have that.

I am also wondering how it is possible to assign the journal abbreviation to batch of items. For instance, I can sort the articles by publication, let’s take the Academy of Management Journal and then I want to assign the journal abbreviation of "AM…

Thanks for your comment, perhaps that’s because I use safari a lot. By the way, thanks again.

I also have this question.

Hello everyone, Regarding this topic, I was wondering how I can contribute to add this feature to the Zotero’s translators. Please let me know if you need further information. Regards, Ali

After the latest updates it’s now working fine.

Thanks ;)

Hi, I'm seeing something different. Generating the debug, the id is: D360167104 Indeed, I stay on Zotero collection and click on the RIS file and it is supposed to import the data to the current selected collection, which I've been doing this in …
