How are you creating your bibliography? With the word plugin, through right click "create bibliography" or through the quick copy drag and drop?
-
Yes, you need to copy the text from the editor and save it with .csl extension. Then all you need to do is drag it into your browser. This should prompt you to install the CSL.
-
Where are you importing these records from? My guess is that the issue is with the original data. I would recommend that you take a look at the file you are importing and see how the author's name looks in the original file.

Please post your translator to the Zotero dev list. http://groups.google.com/group/zotero-dev/ Once some of the devs have a chance to look it over it can be very quickly added to users copies of Zotero within 24 hours.

Hi sirrahn, you can change the storage location for Zotero to a remote drive. Check out some of the information here http://www.zotero.org/documentation/zotero_over_a_network In a future release Zotero will make this kind of syncing much simpler but…

If you need to manually enter or edit the call number you can do so by simply clicking on the call number field in the right column. If you already have the call number and you want to see all the call numbers for books in a given collection you can…

DomFurniss: Modeling those kinds of complicated relationships would not be out of the question when we move to a hierarchical data structure for references. But, for the time being you will need to manually edit these kinds of references.

Thanks for pointing that out. The install manifest is out of date. We will update the plug-in shortly. I would also mention that the syncing you are proposing is part of our plan as well. So a db sync plugin might not be the best use of your time.

We do not have translators for Lexis and Westlaw primarily because George Mason does not subscribe to them. Without access our devs cant work on them. Our heinonline translator is broken, ticket created https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/968

Margot: just tried to grab a book from your catalog and it worked. Could you post a link to an item that you could not grab?
-
jawj: I have removed the direct link. So people can read your documentation instead of diving right in.

Good point. Ticket created. https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/965

Sorry I was not clearer. You will get the prohibited sign when you are moused over places where you cannot drop it. So just to make sure things are working select a snapshot and drag it on top of a book. This should make the snapshot a child item of…

You can actually use saved searches and still keep your organization into collections, just add "collection" "is" and the name of your collection as an additional search criteria. Does that accomplish what you need? I should also mention that there …

For the time being you can drag and drop citations (as seen in the screencast) into Google docs just as you can with any text field. It is not currently part of our plan to develop more robust interaction with Google docs, but if someone wanted to w…

If you paste chrome://zotero/content/tools/csledit.xul into your location bar you can load up references and a existing style and then edit the style live. You might also consider checking out http://dev.zotero.org/creating_citation_styles and http:…

It is not so much the quantity of records, but the speed at which you grab a quantity of records. Zotero is basically doing the same things you would be doing if you were grabbing each of these references. It is not directly querying their index. St…

dpat, these are exactly the kinds of use cases that make the upcoming shared collections particularly exciting. For the time being there are a few ways to work around these. (Using different profiles, carrying your collection in portable firefox on …

I just grabbed a few references from Google scholar and they worked fine. Can you post a link to the record you are having trouble with?
-
For the time being you cannot. There is a ticket to deal with these kinds of issues (https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/832) but for the time being the only thing to do is manually edit the output.
-
If you are using a Mac you might give George Mackerron's bibdesk extension a try see http://mackerron.com/
-
We just fixed this in the dev version of the style. It should update in the next few days on your local copy of Zotero.
-
Can you try reinstalling the plugin and see if the problem persists?
-
There is a ticket to deal with these kinds of issues but it is fairly complicated. See https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/832 For the time being you will need to manually alter them after the bibliography is generated.

You should be able to drag a snapshot wherever you like. You can drag a snapshot onto another item to make it into a child item or between two items to make it a standalone item or into another collection to move it there. What specifically are you …

I have not heard of this kind of issue before. When you restart word does it persist? If so, what version of word are you using?
-
Thanks for reporting this. It should now be fixed. Try the page again and it should work fine.
-
Thanks jawj, I added your plugin to the Extend/Plugins page.

If I am reading your comment right you would like to annotate PDFs in the same way you annotate web pages. While we would like to offer this feature and it might seem like a trivial task it is actually somewhat complicated. There are several issues …

While supporting Word 08 on Macs is a priority we have still not come up with a solution. So it will most likely take more than a few months for us to resolve.
