Jodler: It sounds like you have the most recent version of the plugin. After you select the "multiple sources" button you should see the "keep sorted" checkbox above the multiple sources box that appears on the right side. Tonyc I only see the opt…

Jodler, you already have the ability to manually sort your intext citations. Just uncheck the "keep sources sorted" check box above the multiple sources box and your citations will be generated in the order in which you entered them.

Could you provide a link, or a specific item to look up. Second authors. abstracts and affiliation seemed to work just fine for me.
-
Lroyer: If you want your editor to be able to alter your citations you might consider breaking the link between Zotero and your Word doc as mentioned discussed here. http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/2630/?Focus=11278#Comment_11278

This should now be fixed. Report back if you continue to have issues.

If you store all your files in Zotero's storage folder you should be able to access the attachments from any of the machines.

Consider reading through and contributing to the requests for more features for note taking in this thread. http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/2739/

I created two tickets that I think should cover both issues. First a ticket for the issue with alphabetization: https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/1002 Second a new feature for toggling alphabetization off: https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/10…

What I need is to make notes on a specific word or paragraph and be able to resize the window while to notes move with the word or paragraph I sticked the first time, This is exactly the behavior I get. Notes should stay anchored to the point in the…

Some of the information in our new documentation on reports might help you. See http://www.zotero.org/documentation/reports. Take a look at the section about using reports to organize your notes. If I understand you right switching the combine child…

Is there any reason that you don't want to use a basic search to find these articles? If you know one author's name it would seem to be the quickest possible way to find the article.

The punctuation of a style is controlled by the individual citation style you chose to use. You may want to edit the existing style to suit your needs. If you search through these forums for creating a citation style you should find some good info o…

Syncing individual collections is one of the next steps on Zotero's roadmap. You should be able to do this in June. See http://www.zotero.org/documentation/development_roadmap for more information

I just checked some articles in ProQuest and could not find any DOIs. It seems that ProQuest has it's own "ProQuest document ID", a ten digit number that is not related to the DOI model. Either way ProQuest does not include either a DOI or the "Pro…

This kind of thing will be possible when Zotero moves to a more hierarchical data model.

I think one of Zotero's strengths is that the software does not tell you how to do your research. Every project has its own organizational issues and a set of flexible tools is really the only way to make something that is generally useful. Like Se…

The MLA style uses whatever capitalization you have for the item in your collection. If you edit the titles inside Zotero it should change how they are rendered in your bibliographies.

We are always working to make Zotero more proxy friendly. If you can post some examples of what the proxy does to your URLs we might be able to tweak our translators to work with the system at your institution.

I don't believe that the ref ids map to any field in Zotero. If you are using RIS as your interchange format you could try opening the file in a text editor and do a find and replace to swap the ref id tag to one of the tags that Zotero recognizes.…

I just tried the site and it worked fine. Over the weekend there was a change that caused some issues which has been fixed. This is most likely the cause of your issue. Try the "update now" button next to the "Automatically check for updated transla…

See How do I print my notes? and How do I back up my Zotero collection?

Not entirely sure what you mean by "create document" in Zotero. Could you clarify? Depending on what you want to do, exporting an item with its notes and creating a report could do the trick.

thanks, its fixed

For the time being you are better off going back to X. The changes to Word 2008 are so significant that they effectively require an entirely new plugin.

There is a ticket for this. While it has not been a top priority it is on the list. https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/504

It is on the way. See the ticket. https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/808

This should be resolved, please report back if you continue to have issues.

This should be fixed, please report back if you are still having this issue.

If I understand you right you are asking if you can paste the text of a PDF in one of the fields in the right column to help you find it in searches. If you have the text you can just paste it into the white box in the right column below the view an…

I have removed references to Word 97 on the Microsoft Word Integration page. If anyone reports that it is working on their copy of Word 97 I can add it back, but it would seem that it is not working.
