Again: a general word question. You need to make sure the fields are copied, so perhaps copy-and-paste isn't the best way.

As I suggested earlier in the thread, writing an XSLT to convert between MODS and TEI shouldn't be hard. Has anyone asking for this support even bothered to look if there is one, ask on relevant TEI and/or MODS listservs, etc.?

Not being a programmer, I can't comment on the issue of complexity. Fair enough. But it does have very practical implications for all manner of details in how the software practically works. ...I would in turn ask how it's been done with personal n…

+1 on the OP request.

My point is just WRT to CSL, and it would be that "catalog" is just too concrete/specific for a more general notion of a source. Whatever the solution for this is, it should also apply to things like datasets, for example. And if that solution is …

These conversations are getting unwieldy. Didn't I comment on this issue somewhere else (github?)? FWIW, I consider this MLA requirement archaic (MLA: it makes no difference where I get a copy of an article, and I certainly don't expect my students…

That might be an option IF we establish the use case for separate subtitle styling.
-
And I'm still opposed to this, in part for a few reasons I didn't earlier state, which can be summed up with this question: if we split titles into separate data structures, how will we support multiple titles in different languages (transliteration…

I don't have time to read all this, but would just say two things: 1) don't use extra for important data 2) I suggest you figure out a solution that is general; I don't want to add a "court-division" variable to CSL, and prefer to avoid adding anyt…

It's generally not a good idea to tie formatting too closely to type, particularly to a vague one like "webpage." My suggestion is to have an access macro that's tied to the presence of a URL (and, if you like, access date; there are issues with som…

I don't know if Zotero is designed to work around this (it probably does), but note that this RIS illustrates a really old bug in Endnote (that I can't believe they still haven't fixed!); those keywords should be: KW - Adenomatous Polyposis Coli Pr…

FWIW, the EDTF effort is making good progress, and just came out with a new draft. It includes support for ranges, and a lot of other stuff useful for us. http://www.loc.gov/standards/datetime/spec.html

What I'm suggesting is (aside from the nudge to zotero) is that, at least when 2.1 is released real soon, it would be easier for you to fork the github repository, add your style to that, and issue a pull request, than creating a separate repository…

Another reminder (1.0-only though): https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles

"Add field" --> "author tokens" --> "publisher"
-
It's there; just not where you're expecting it. It's listed under authors/contributors. I'd prefer if it supported macro blocks where you could drop core things like authors, title, availability, locators and quickly reorganize if needed.
-
Reminder: really want to move this to github. Is it feasible to simultaneously add new styles like this to the gh repo in the interim while we figure out details? If yes, ping me with your github user name and I'll add you to the style editor team.

While there's a known issue with keys/labels that really should be addressed (and I believe will be in 2.2?), adding support for macros in output seems a much lower priority. Macros are designed to make human entry easier, and in this case it's a ma…

Nevermind; had to restart Chrome as well.
-
I'm now just trying this, given that I find myself preferring Chrome. But even with the option set to true and with a restart, I can't get the indicator to pop up on, say, a NYT article. Any further info or update on this?
-
Yeah, FWIW, I'm very strongly in favor of moving future style development to github, and rintze and I have been working on putting things in place to do that.

"Testing" is probably the wrong word (it's not really complete enough). It was stalled in alpha for awhile; work is starting up again, and current example is at: http://csleditor.quist.de/csleditor/show/1/example-citation-style It is showing impro…

I'm putting a really high value on stability at this point, but it is trivial to upgrade styles if we do it.

Resurrecting this. Dan asked (way back): Are either of those March 19 dates in the above example the access date value from EndNote? The RIS spec doesn't specify a field for date accessed. I was thinking that perhaps the Y2 field might be appropriat…

To be honest, the form attribute seems a bad idea in retrospect. Perhaps we ought to add a first-class "short-title" variable?
-
I believe this issue is resolved in 2.1. At least in OpenOffice, the bibliography entries get their own styles.
-
I doubt running firefox on a mobile device would be a very good options. I certainly have no intention of trying.
