I was just a) assuming that Access can export to CSV, and b) that it's easy to convert CSV to some other format (RIS, etc.) that Zotero can understand. That does require some technical skills, obviously.
-
If it's just a single table, why not export to CSV, and then convert that into some form that Zotero can handle?
-
In all, I am impressed with the CSL functionality. (any plans to add "export style to BST"?) No, but I (the author of CSL) would certainly encourage such an effort from third-parties.

I think what rubs me the wrong way about these discussions is the lack of recognition that accessibility is a civil rights issue. And what rubs me the wrong way about your tone in this entire thread is exactly this assertion. Try a thought experim…

Until Zotaro does accessibility testing and incorporates universal access into its design process, I am not particularly interested in what you think this problem “sounds like.” I've not really followed this thread, and am fairly ignorant about acce…

I personally think OJS leaves a hell of lot to be desired as an open access platform. While I don't know, I wouldn't be surprised if some of these limitations also make it difficult to write translators for. In any case, why not suggest to that co…

Oh, right. This reminds me why I despise these styles ;-) I'll add here, though, that we've not discussed page number anchors for 1.0 (which may not even be possible); only note numbers. @lord55, I'd encourage your "teacher" (from me) to reconsid…

I haven't thought about this in awhile (in part b/c I'm not a fan of op. cit. at all), but I would think it should be possible now to support it, since "op cit" is effectively a synonym for the subsequent condition. We just don't have a localized pr…

MediaWiki is pretty easy to setup as fair as LAMP stuff goes.

Ideally I would like to take my Open office document, convert it into a word document and extract the references into Endnote so that someone else who has Endnote/word can view and edit my document. For a number of technical reasons that involve fla…

@Manusnake: the comment was not aimed it you. It was aimed at the forum moderators, who have previously closed similar long-running "please support X app" threads.

On the "bad" JS Dan mentions, there are plenty of good, free, JS solutions that do not require you to hack the HTML like this (JQuery comes to mind, which has many such plug-ins).

Another thread that really needs to be closed.

To handle cases in which the calling application cannot provide those details, it will recognize a "literal" entry in lieu of a structured date. So is "Summer 2000" a literal, or is "2000" the structured year and "Summer" the literal? What's Zotero…
-
@Dan: Literal pass-through isn't intended to be a solution for original dates, but it's necessary for other things (e.g., Hebrew dates) that CSL may or may not ever support. But the spec does not support such a notion (though in my thinking, I've al…

Not read this discussion carefully, but will just note that from the CSL perspective, this issues has not been resolved (e.g. I'm pretty resistant to the notion of pass-through literal dates).

This idea has been discussed extensively awhile back. Try searching the forums.

Can we please close this thread. There's no value in people continuing to post their pleas for this feature.

@JonEP: I don't use Word, but my suggestion is to maintain the chapters individually until the end, and then combine them into a single document. Word on a recent-ish computer will have no problem with even a very long dissertation. @alandsloane: …

Before you come up with a complete solution, it might help to first define simply and clearly what you're trying to achieve. My personal opinion is HTTP URIs offer a lot of power as a mechanism to do a lot of what you seem to want (one as yet not f…

FWIW, I have my grad students handing in a simple annotated bibliography, and my suggestion to them was to just do it manually (copy-paste formatted bib entries + notes).

It would make sense to have both directions of links, it seems to me.

Not sure how it's implemented in Zotero, but I think a "code number" is technically analogous to a "volume number"; right? E.g. the code is in fact a periodical?
-
Thinking about this some more, this is tricky. I would probably personally want my software to adjust the spacing as appropriate. I, for example, almost always use author-date styles, but sometimes need to use note styles. It would seem strange to …
-
Not really sure how the current Zotero code or Frank's update handles this, but perhaps we should a) have style authors add the preceding whitespace character to the citation where appropriate (as in author-date styles), and b) add some language to …

The Simple Style Generator is essentially worthless at this point. It takes (much) more work to fix the broken styles it creates than it does to go through the process of tweaking an already-existing style.

If it's a book, then cite it as a book.

BTW, might be worth noting that Stuart Sierra at AltLaw has been working on his own legal vocabulary to power AltLaw. Ideally, I'd like to bring it and BIBO in line where reasonable.

There is a top-level bibo:subsequentLegalDecision object property (e.g. it's value is not a string literal, but a resource, ideally with its own URI), with some subproperties (like bibo:affirmedBy). If necessary, it would be possible to add inverse …

These sorts of suggestions should be made in the context of BIBO. If there are flaws in the way BIBO models these things, feel free to make suggestions.
