The delete finally finished, and I'm attempting the sync, to delete everything from the Zotero server, it's been spinning for over 3 hours now??? Any ideas.

Sent. When you said "copy the couple hundred lines leading up to it", it wasn't clear what you wanted, since there were instead 8 million lines. Maybe you needed something from the top of the file.
