I would really appreciate some guidance on this. Please take a look here - https://www.screencast.com/t/HTRtGrwIk. So I have far more unindexed files than indexed ones. And I am of course extremely reluctant to rebuild the entire index for fear that…

Debug ID D910331489. And I also got a sync error (1806555414) - but am not sure whether the two are related
-
Dan - I'm running it again now (with debugging on). It's still running smoothly. But so I'll submit a debug ID if (/when?) it happens again.
-
Update (just documenting in case somebody has the same problem later and finds this thread) - I guess we figured it out. limit integer 1-100 (default - 50). The maximum number of results to return with a single request. Need to do slicing to export …

Yes we are. We have one group library that has 8797 items. But the following request - https://api.zotero.org/groups/2225272/items?format=json&key=xxx yields only 25 items...
-
I tried in the latest beta. It added a few items, which then disappeared again. As we're waiting for the built-in ability to clean up orphaned folders, could somebody please point us to these third-party scripts? Thanks!
-
I see. Oh well! We'd better always close them after using them then... At this point :)
-
Update on this - we have now tried transferring these files from one (sub-sub)-group library collection to a top-level group library) 5(!) times on three different computers. Always with the same outcome: it happily starts working, we see the items …
-
So Sebastian - there is basically no way then?
-
Nobody?
-
Holy smokes! :) It DOES work now. Fantastic! Thanks much...
-
Oh really? Wow! You guys ARE amazing. I will in a few minutes - I'm consolidating some very large libraries right now (with difficulty - by the way! Zotero does NOT seem to like this) - but after I finish this batch, I'll check...
-
That's ok! As long as gets fixed, because so now I have most of my groups that I can not create separate private keys for. And I don't know whether it's possible, but if in the regular online viewing it were possible to - for instance - have an opti…
-
I see. Thanks!
-
So GroupPrefix is the same as GroupID?
-
One more question (and I'm not sure where to post that, but I'll try here first) - The group prefix is just the integer that we see when we look at them online, right? E.g. https://www.zotero.org/groups/522920?
-
Ok - we'll do. I've asked Olga to share what she has done, and we'll post that there.
-
I'm sorry to ask this again, but we keep banging our heads against the wall on this one and don't seem to be making any headway. Could anybody please help us with making such a (functioning) script?
-
So can you please give an example of a GET request for all fields (including the cached text) for all items a shared Group?
-
But so are the cached full texts in shared (private) groups available via API?
-
Thanks. But I want to sort them - to have all the ones that have DOIs together so that I can then use the unpaywall plugin to download smaller batches (as Dan recommends doing)
-
I guess it's a 'peace of mind' kind of thing. To give a (current) example. We have people all around the world adding items to a specific group library. And so I (and others) are always worried that these group libraries might not be syncing properl…

It's a bit more sophisticated than that: "To avoid hitting the maximum allowable request limit, Publish or Perish now uses an adaptive request rate limiter. This limits the number of requests that are sent to Google Scholar within a given period, bo…

1) Are you running it from the same network each time? I was. 2) Are you actually selecting 1000 records, right-clicking, and selecting "Find Available PDFs", or are you trying in smaller batches? I was trying the former, but have switched to the la…
-
Thanks much! We hadn't seen that (our bad). Edit: Markdown, markdown, a kingdom for forum markdown! Hear hear!!
-
Well Sebastian, this does look like an extremely interesting site for people who want the full texts. And the metadata can presumably still be retrieved by other means like through the DOIs, which presumably could be retrieved by the new DOI plugin…
-
Is it normal that re-running the same tool still always brings new 'finds'? The first time I ran it, it found and attached about 10% of the 1000 records that I had downloaded from Google Scholar through Publish or Perish. Through rerunning the tool …
-
But so how come I don't see this option in the context menu? I have loads of items (e.g. from CrossRef through Publish or Perish) that have a (often short) DOI and/or a URL but no pdf. But it still doesn't give me the option - whether I select one i…

But so there is no way to save lists from here to Zotero (as opposed to one-by-one)? The yellow folder icon does show up, but nothing seems to happen then.

Ok - thanks!
