I confirm I had checked Zotero is in the right directory I also made a new attempt after emptying everything in Firefox and uploading 2.1.6r9403 Same result : [JavaScript Error: "splitter is not defined" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/zoteroPane…

Yes, it does I removed all the contents of the zotero folder, replaced them with the 2.1.6 backup folders and files, but it doesn't do any good. The library is still empty and the Zotero icon missing
-
After having this trouble, I desinstalled this release anf downloaded 2.1.6 I retrieved my library and the Zotero icon I again uploaded the 2.1.6.r9393. I lost the Zotero icon and my library appears empty. To open Zotero, I can do it through Firef…

Thanks for the information For the moment, we are thinking of the need for books, but there might have other needs for booksection, journalArticle and conferencePaper (if used for Actes de Colloque)
-
Tested with 2.1.6.r9319, everything seems OK Thanks

Here is the style: git://gist.github.com/990531.git

@fbennett Testing the 2.1.6.r9295 about the footnotes: - the unexpected  preceding all the french left quotes in the prefix and suffix fields don't appear anymore. Much better. Thanks - But, all the data (excepting the authors) are transformed i…

@fbennett I downloaded the 2.1.6.r9295. 1/ Concerning AUBIGNAC François Hédelin, abbé d' it appears correctly in the footnotes as: François Hédelin, abbé d'Aubignac but in the bibliography it appears as: AUBIGNAC François Hédelin abbé d' instead…

I certainly wouldn't pretend to be an expert, but I think that "de" or "d'" should not be transformed in capitals or small-caps in either form. As far as we are concerned, we use small-caps for the bibliography section, for which we apply the name-…

I can have a look today, then won't have any time left for about 15 days
-
1/ From the sources I found, the "de" or "d'" that are to be rejected to the right of the given name (when the family name appears first) should be written in plain roman type. That means they don't follow the family-name's rule. So, they would ha…
-
@fbennett, Concerning François Hédelin, abbé d'AUBIGNAC I think the d' should be in plain roman type, since it's a preposition which links abbé and Aubignac.
-
@fbennett It happens that the author d'Aubignac I told about previously should be treated as : AUBIGNAC François Hédelin, abbé d' in the bibliography and François Hédelin, abbé d'Aubignac in the footnotes Can you make it appear this way ? Ho…

Curiously, as you can see in the style referenced above, I didn't mention anything about demote-non-dropping-particle and the result is quite different from what Gracile got after coding that parameter. AUBIGNAC François Hédelin D’ LA BRUYERE Jea…

I'm not sure I completely understand what you mean. So, I give you some examples (with Zotero 2.1.6) 1/ In the data base: François Hédelin d' Aubignac where "d' Aubignac" is the family name Jean de La Bruyère where "de La…

1/ The style is available at : git://gist.github.com/950622.git I tried with somebody else's style too. The result is the same. Entering a point in the given name works, but it is not really "clean"! There are quite a lot of such entr…

I will be happy to get the next release

In fact, Rintze' proposal works perfectly, I just had to add: form="short" The result is exactly what I need. Furthermore, it's much simpler. Excuse me for giving a incomplete information.
-
1/ The @Rintze proposal was very interesting, but unfortunately, although the validator admits it, it doesn't have any effect. If I choose "sub verbo" in the Zotero panel I get the label "s. vv." (without quotes) 2/ I made another test, as foll…

@fbennett Concerning the extra Â, I thought that after having suppressed them once, I would get rid of the problem, but as soon I have to update the document they appear again and again. That means that the database is corrupted. Although the new …

These two points concern the "old" notes (created before upgrading). Creating new ones works properly. Both problem seem to concern the updating phase of the data base which is modified, loosing some information (suppress author) or modifying some …
-
@fbennett I upgraded to 2.1.6. The bibliography is now OK, but they are still some problems in the notes. 1/ All the french left quotes in the prefix and suffix fields are preceded with an unexpected Â, as « la défense antique d’une individuali…

@fbennett I upgraded to 2.1.6 and retrieved "verse", "book" as in 2.0.9 Thanks

@Simon I upgraded to Zotero 2.1.6 ant it's OK Thanks

@fbennett I upgraded to 2.1.6 and confirm that it's OK Thanks

I made a try, moving lastname to firstname, but this cannot be a solution, since the lastname is used for sorting items. When we want to choose an item, we most often choose it from the lastname, so it is necessary to have it. As I said before, th…

I too came across the problem with the variable "interviewer", which Zotero 2.1 seems to ignore. It worked perfectly well in zotero 2.0.9, and the style is validated in CSL 1.0 Such items are in the data base and referred to in footnotes citations

Concerning the apostrophe, I made further investigations in the bibliography, and noticed that the modification didn't apply to every data. It seems to me that the first apostrophe encountered is transformed, but the next one is not. Example with …
