The second version of the feature request (i.e. automating narrative citations in the form A. Miller (2000)) has been long requested and is generally in the works, though it does pose some more complex issues that have delayed implementation so far,…

We always need sample ISBNs. Do note, though, that ISBNs are not registered with metadata at publication -- book metadata only becomes available by ISBN once they are cataloged by libraries, so very recent books can be an issue
-
Someone should just prepare a pull request to the repo to make this easy for Zotero devs
-
No there is not, but I'd guess that this is just an oversight at PNAS -- you're overestimating the accuracy of journal copyediting.
-
You'd have to say more -- do you mean there's no Zotero icon at all or that it's not working. For the former see https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/no_toolbar_button For the latter see https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues

My understanding is that, when I drag a new pdf into zotero 7, the new item it makes for it will contain meta information retrieved from google scholar. No, Zotero hasn't used google scholar for this for ages -- it caused all sorts of issues (includ…

Could you link to the AIAA style guide you are referencing?
-
That's what "prefix"is for, see https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_usage#customizing_citations
-
Is there any reason you wouldn't just work with the local copies? It seems bizarre to use the API to download all PDFs when they're either already on your disk or could be downloaded using Zotero's own sync.
-
Sounds like https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/existing_citations_not_detected, I'm afraid.

It's unclear what the actual problem is, you'd have to say more: https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems#provide_steps_to_reproduce

You would have to say more

Could you post the URL as you see it please?

I think the question, at least the original question, is about adding an in-text page number like (Smith 1776, iv). Using the default quick format bar, as opposed to arabic page numbers, you can't just type "iv". You need to either click on the cita…
-
Oh, you mean alphabetical by first author, only. Yes that's doable. What's the exact sort section you are using?
-
a, b, c is always assigned by order of items in the bibliography, you can't change that, sorry. Is this actually a requirement somewhere because I find the idea of randomly sorting suffixes in the bibliography very odd (and hard to read).
-
You only get the beta version when you explicitly install it -- I suspect you did that in anticipation of Zotero 7.0 -- betas were very stable then; now with the 7.1 betas there may again be more breakage. In other words, now that you're on the st…

Can you revert to Zotero stable (from the homepage) to test?
-
Thanks -- that's using KaTeX, which generally the HTML viewer is able to display -- try e.g. the KaTeX homepage: https://katex.org/ I'm not sure exactly what's going wrong on that page, but it does have a ton going on -- you can't even load the sou…
-
Could you give an example/screenshot and, if you're talking about a Snapshot, the link to the URL it's from? As written, the answer is definitely no (LaTeX never renders in HTML), but formulas can be made to render in html.

You're seeing this: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/given_name_disambiguation

@manumanu -- this doesn't seem like the same request. If I understand you correctly, it seems like you're looking for a private sharing link, akin to what Dropbox or GDrive would give you. That's not an uncommon request, though I'm not aware of any …

You can't use Pages, no, but Zotero works on LibreOffice, which you can install for free, and Google Docs, which you can use online for free.
-
Nothing new on the old discussion
-
I don't quite understand -- are you at Western Illinois? Then that seems correct. I like the Proxy feature a lot, so I would keep it enabled, but it's entirely up to you
-
To be clear, this would only ever effect file sync, data should continue syncing for all their libraries. I don't believe that being at/over your storage stops file sync for other libraries, no, but I'm only 95% sure of that. Versions don't matter…
-
You can remove the old proxy in the connector settings: right-click on the Save to Zotero icon and click Preferences/Extension Options/Settings (exact word depends on your browser). Then click on proxies on the left, select your old proxy and press …

They'd need to post here with more details, but almost certainly the out of storage error is for their library or a private group, not your group, which should indeed continue syncing and only depend on your storage subscription.
-
I assume "APA coach" is an AI app? Don't assume its advice is correct. Zotero treats this -- reasonably -- as a newspaper article and University Wire as the publication. The citation then is correct as is. You should also get this imported correctl…

There is no way to disable that. Could you say why you want them removed? Link attachments don't take up any space
