I'm confused -- you asked for et al.for >3 authors above. Has that changed? Is this for a different journal?
-
This is with the Zotero Android app or with Box's own tool?
-
The forum takes basic html tags like , , , , etc.

As I said, CSL can't do it and it'd require a complete reconceptualization of how CSL handles citations (CSL is a purposefully constrained language -- you can do a very specific set of things using if/else, not Turing-complete programming), so it's …

There is no reload button in Zotero's PDF or epub reader, so still not sure what you're referring to. Even if there was, Zotero has no concept or memory of the origins of a file stored in Zotero (you can link to files instead if you prefer). If you…
-
CSL definitely can't do this, but what I'm saying above is that it also just isn't how footnotes work in Word: they always count up; there's no such thing as a repeating footnote number. The numbers in the Nature style are just superscript numbers, …

1) Drag&drop and Add file are equivalent. Use whichever you find faster/more convenient. 2) It takes the folder from your local hard disk, you wouldn't have to drag anything (it won't access any online-only files, in case that's part of the que…

If you edit attached files and make sure you actually save to the file stored in (or linked to) Zotero, those edits will be reflected in the attachment when you open it in Zotero. There is no reload button in Zotero (I'm guessing you refer to the …

LiquidText integration is provided by LiquidText, not Zotero -- you'd have to ask them (and if they think there's an issue with the Zotero API -- unlikely, but possible -- they should post with details to the zotero-dev list)
-
What exactly do you mean by live links and which instructions did you follow?
-
But if you just mean the spacing and hanging indent -- I assume you can just fix that for the entire bibliography once you're done (you'd definitely be able to in Word or LibreOffice) -- no need to do this for every reference individually.
-
If this happens again, we need a debug ID, not an error report I'd, please https://www.zotero.org/support/debug_output
-
I think letter should work reasonably well there, yes
-
You're not the first person asking. FWIW, artwork (which maps to the more generic 'graphic' in citation styles) is usually a good workaround.
-
We'd want a debug ID (don't just post the output -- the above is missing the relevant parts) that covers a failed attempt to say more. FWIW, saving using usearch works for me when I'm not authenticated to Vienna University (obviously), so I'm guess…

Use the Letter item type. Which citation style is this for?
-
What (if anything) does it say in the library catalog field of those items? These items are most likely accidentally added by you. The other, much(!) less likely, option is that someone else is accessing your account. You can check recent sessions …

Yes, put Issued:1971/1972 into extra. This will also work for precise date ranges, like for an event, with the dates in ISO format, so Issued: 1971-08-24/1971-08-31

I don't think that's a realistic solution, though, to handle this manually (and you really shouldn't turn off auto sync for stuff that you don't want to lose). I think the "Choose Libraries" option in the sync tab of the preferences should work fo…
-
Meaning you are able to log in on this website and see the library and now want to sync it? It's under Settings then Sync. You might need to unlink another account (make sure that one is synced -- unlinking deletes all local data)
-
I think there's a strong case for it in the humanities (broadly understood), yes. I like "Classical work" best (Neuromancer is undoubtedly a classic work but not what we are talking about)
-
That's already in all the Chicago styles for the bibliography (it's name-as-sort-order="first" )
-
A bit hard to say without more details of what you did exactly, but I'm guessing you used "Create Bibliography for selected items" and then selected "Citation" instead of "Bibliography" -- and APA citations are just (Author, Year); the bibliography …
-
How exactly are you citing and which citation style? For many citation styles, author and year is what you'd expect in a citation.
-
Does dragging a PDF to Zotero work (i.e. appears as an attachment and allows you to open it)? This looks like a permission issue to me, but hard to say.
-

https://www.zotero.org/support/sync#alternative_syncing_solutions The key thing that corrupts your database is putting zotero.sqlite in a cloud folder. If you are not doing that, the worst that can happen are file sync conflicts and those are prett…

I tried to answer that above: you can annotate the LO.pdf files, extract the annotations into a note and then adjust the page numbers in the note. (FWIW, I don't think most people, whether they work digitally or not, actually use workflows where th…
-
I'm a bit confused by what exactly you are trying to do, but if you extract an annotation into a note, you can modify the page number (click on "Edit Citation", then on the actual citation). You can also directly add citations into notes if you're …
