If you get the full first name, that's almost certainly incorrectly entered data. It should be entered as "Vogel, Joshua P." in two separate fields. If you see "Joshua P. Vogel" in Zotero's right-hand pane, that's the problem.

How should this look, could you provide an example? Dates are never at the end in APA (other then retrieved dates when they're used), so this is a bit unusual.

I'd second the recommendation for the API. For local export, the BBT add-on (https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex ) also comes with several additional JSON export formats, some of which include full data including tags.

Right, the unlinking only applies if you need separate bibliographies. Otherwise you just paste them into a single document and keep citations live. You would typically do this as late as possible, as Zotero does slow down in large documents

Zotero needs either a DOI or a URL to find the PDF, so if that's not in the reference, it won't be in the RIS and this won't work. That said, you could try if you can get the DOI via the DOI manager add-on https://github.com/bwiernik/zotero-shortdoi

I think the question is whether non-webpage documents should have URLs -- I actually don't see any indication in the author guidelines that they should (which is why they don't in Elsevier Vancouver).

Not possible with CSL as described, no, but you could have two documents with different CSL styles, one of them adding an "e" before citations to create the e1, e2 etc. options.

No, the option determines whether the URL is printed for articles with page numbers. It does not affect anything else.

Sorry, there appears to be something missing from your post and I can't make out what you actually want to do. FWIW, you almost certainly would have saved yourself time by using the Zotero browser add-on rather than downloading metadata files.

That's not really Zotero related, right? In general, I think version control will work just fine with simultaneous online/local-sync edits, though you might want to test for an important project to be extra sure.
