That's correct 18th edition CMOS, see https://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide/citation-guide-1.html#cg-chapter

You're sure you're not in the web library (where this doesn't work) or on a Mac (where it's Cmd+a)? This would be highly unusual to break, though if it really is, the first thing to check after those would be to run Zotero in Troubleshooting Mode (H…

You can look through the options here: https://www.zotero.org/styles?format=note&dependent=0 All metadata for the previews, except the "The Alot is Better Than...." blogpost, has titles in sentence case, so you can quickly see which styles keep…

See this functionality: https://www.zotero.org/blog/improved-pdf-retrieval-with-unpaywall-integration/ In Zotero 7+ this is called "Find Full Text" instead of "Available PDF". Read closely how it works -- if you may have institutional access to PD…

I'm not sure what you mean by 'behaving as if it's only one person' but yes, you can collaboratively work on a Word document stored in OneDrive/Sharepoint using a Zotero group and it'll work smoothly, if that's the question?
-
That should already be the case, certainly cff is supported.
-
Return or Enter will just work. I don't think putting this into the File menu or as a customizable shortcuts would correspond to standard app behavior or be particularly helpful.
-
Is that on the same computer? Images in notes require file sync to move between devices
-
FWIW, I'd very much keep LibraryCatalog -- that tells you where an item came from and it's also very valuable for any troubleshooting (and doesn't have any real costs as it appears very rarely in citation styles)
-
you know, though, that you can annotate the snapshot in Zotero and create notes from the annotations/highlights?
-
On the DOI, see https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/121656/coming-soon-new-item-fields (7.1 is going to be 8.0, but the rest applies) I'm pretty sure there won't be thesis subtypes as separate item types (and in US English, at least, a doctoral di…

Note that both of those DOIs are broken -- the links don't work. But they do have metadata in Datacite, but I'm only seeing six authors, no editors in the metadata, so that's a problem with how you're registering them, not Zotero's import: https://…

Switch to a different style and back
-
To the extent that they're part of the citation, they'd be in the title of the review (i.e. in the title field).
-
did you change both style title _and_ style ID? See https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/style_editing_step-by-step#edit_the_style
-
The first part isn't true -- there was never an APA style without comma before the date. You might be looking at ASA 6? In any case, there's a no ampersand variant of APA that'll give you what you want: https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:apa-no-amp…

This one actually: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/125138/connector-parsing-library-of-congress-catalog-items I have a partial fix for this under review
-
Only if you have already cited them using the word processor add-on. If you haven't, and are just _planning_ on doing so, none of this applies.
-
So, for an example what wouldn't work: you inserted a citation from the original group into a Word document of an article ahead of print. You then drag the items to the group. Now you want to update the article with issue/volume/page information: if…
-
Oh, that's odd. You mean Zotero in German/English, not the style, right? So changing the Zotero interface language changes the style output?
-
You can paste some examples or a screenshot here
-
@gpatten -- which Zotero version are you running? This should be correct with Zotero >=7.0.21
-
We'd need to seem some examples here -- most likely this is an issue with either citing multiple versions of the same item or with incorrect metadata in Zotero. (And for your question, I don't think there's any malware that creates slightly wrong c…
-
For a start, I'd want you to test inserting a couple of broken ones to a blank document. If that works, you'd have to replace broken one manually in the main document. The data it's referencing is stored directly in the document, you can't replace i…
-
Generally Zotero can't restore individual libraries on the server-- this all sounds very odd, though and couldn't have happened exactly as described. Do you remember doing anything unusual setting up sync? Did you use any of the options in the "Res…

How about inserting the citation in a new document with the Word add-on? I'd assume those look right, too. If that's the case, the ones above are generated from old metadata in the Word documents, likely from an (originally duplicate) item that you …
-
We'd also want to see the metadata for both of these items (that is, most conveniently a screenshot of the right-hand pane). The first one just looks like a metadata issue. Not sure why the 2nd one wouldn't print a DOI, though.
-
Note that in Zotero you can set BibTeX as quick copy so it's available via drag&drop or keyboard shortcut. If you do this often enough to be relevant, you probably should use the full tool anyway
-
No, sorry. But I think there's a lookup engine for PubMed that could approximate the link behavior
-
(but note this will break connections to items cited with the word processor add-on, if you have already done that)
