6. is part of the metadata about the item from the library catalog. Some people find it useful, some don't, and what's in that field in library catalogs varies. 7. is https://www.zotero.org/support/file_renaming#attachment_title_vs_filename

right, hence the search/virtual folder option. There are also a whole bunch of free storage analyzer tools you can use on Windows.

You don't need, and shouldn't use, a separate account just because you're working on a group project. The separate accounts to manage a group come in when the group is for, or represents an institution: say you're running a small biotech company a…

No

Are you sure that's actually what you need? I don't believe what you're asking is possible in CSL, but it's also not, in any way, what people usually refer to as "Harvard": In Harvard styles, first and second authors are _always_ listed together --…

If you're concerned about a security breach, also review the API keys in the API/Feeds tab on the same page
-
Of course. That's the case for all browser add-ons; each browser handles permissions separately.
-
It will sync files for all group libraries (but as long as you're not the owner, they don't count against your quota)
-
You can uncheck "Sync attachments files in My Library using"... and check it for group libraries. As long as group libraries have files enabled (which they don't have to), you cannot select individual group libraries to sync.
-
That looks right in general (though you have position tests in the bibliography, which don't make any sense and I don't think should validate?) Note that near-note applies to all footnotes, not just Zotero-created ones
-
1. No limit and I know people have dozens of groups, but if you're planning to do something truly unusual (like: 100s of groups) you might hit some sort of implicit limit. 2. Correct 3. Yes, within the ToS, which mainly rule out illegal activity: ht…

No, you can still.get the PDFs if you get the metadata through an aggregator, but if access to the PDF at your institution isn't through the publisher but, say, through EBSCO, Zotero won't find it
-
It needs to be campus network/WiFi or VPN. If by 'logged into' your university library you mean you've logged in through a web portal by putting in your net ID (or whatever the call it) and password, that's the web proxy I mention and won't work. I…
-
The primary email doesn't matter. You need to be on the institutional IP range while using find available PDF: using a web proxy for access doesn't work. Even then, you'll strike out a fair amount -- Zotero doesn't, e.g., find PDFs that you get acce…

Especially If you use syncing (but also more generally), modifying the sqlite like this is very likely to break things left and right.
-
it shows pop-ups for references.

That behavior is standard Chicago style and correct as you show it. If you want the same number for the same citation, you want a numeric style -- that's e.g. Nature, IEEE, or Vancouver among those pre-installed or many hundred on zotero.org/styles
-
You can look at https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:apa-numeric-superscript That will create a numbered bibliography at the end, though, not footnotes. There is no way to create multiple actual footnotes when you are citing multiple items in the sa…

put it in the suffix field instead -- don't use the locator box (i.e. where it says "pages") to insert other things than bare-bones locators.
-
If my answer isn't clear, you'd have to say more

In Zotero 6, only by using the 'classic' add citation dialogue. In Zotero 7, the add citation dialog preselects an y items you have selected in Zotero.
-
The linked thread (in which all devs involved always agreed the period should be there) describes how to change the behavior by changing the citation style. That's the only available option
-
I'll let the devs respond on this, but are you a) on a Macbook with an M1 ('silicone') chip and b) currently on the latest stable version (6.0.37) or the current beta (7.0...)? (original text for context: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/11026…

Reporting here is perfect -- ideally include an example in the form: Current output: Should be: and even more ideally provide a link to a source (for BB that's obviously a bit tricky, but if you find something by a good law library, we'll trust th…

This is a common setup and apart from the known issue with spaces in filenames just works. You'd have to report specific issues for anyone to say more.
-
I don't think they've ever been planned in the strict sense. Core devs have said they'd entertain a pull request, not that they're likely to work on it (and I suspect the amount of help requests for linked files that continues to come in -- and that…

sorry, those types of parallel citations -- be it for two legal cases or a legal case and a journal articles -- don't work automatically in Zotero. If you want the article in the bibliography, the only option I see is to create a citation with two i…

Works in Firefox, so I'm guessing this is an effect of the Chrome v3 manifest update -- not sure if that breaks the refresh metadata command, but doesn't seem implausible. Not sure if one of the devs has a better idea?
