here you go: https://www.wuala.com/migugg/Endnote?key=zMTt4r7Uc68A put them all into one file, removed duplicates. output in two different RIS formats. Can't remember the difference. try both and see which one imports better.
-
if you upload them to some webpage, I can download them for you, import them into endnote, export to ris and send you the ris file. But be aware that you may need to do some tweaking of the RIS file afterwards

I am a bit surprised that none of the developpers ever responds to this issue. It seems to me quite important and would clearly help the development of zotero. Are you already planning something like this, or do you think it is unnecessary?
-
I support this suggestion, but: In my experience it makes the workflow smoother to create many small notes, rather than one big one. Create a new note, for each quote, each new theme, each argument in a text. Give each note a meaningful title (=firs…

you can shortcut 5)-6) with using zotfile http://www.columbia.edu/~jpl2136/zotfile.html I think to adress the problem "However, on the Mac now when I click on a pdf link it never opens in the browser but rather in Preview outside the browser. " yo…

this has been discussed before, see here: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/6800/zotero-development-forums-users-and-our-ideas/ and here: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/8684/add-place-field-for-entry-type-thesis-to-distinguish-university-and-…

already tried to change file extension to .txt (if it is .ris)?

You can ctrl-click selected items in zotero. Then you are given a context-menu where you can select "create Bibliography from selected items" and in the following dialog you can "copy to clipboard". Then you can switch to word and insert the bibliog…

Just to restate what is often getting lost in the Ipad-hype: Ipad has a normal LCD-display, as a reading device, it is as good/bad as any laptop. For academics who read a lot, e-paper diplays are much more promising and thus porting to Ipad/Iphone i…

I agree with Mark. Everywhere where I am able to select a style, there has to be an option/a link to the style repository.
-
well, I wasn't saying that the styles should not be good. Merely that in many cases, a user has to use a specific style and then he just gets what is there. I agree re: marketing tool, but this only indicates that the styles shipped with zotero sh…
-
agreed, but I assume you still only use one or two of these, that reflect citation practices in your discpline anyway. Adamsmith's list now covers some 20 styles, and I doubt that this helps usability. How about including lets say 4-5 (one numbered,…
-
Also the quality of any style does not matter for inclusion, because in every use case, I do need a specific style, whatever its quality, and not a different style, even if it is of better quality.
-
I generally doubt the helpfulness of styles shipping with zotero. In the real world, depending on a users discipline, he or she will exactly ever use one or two of these styles and the others are of no help at all and rather a distraction. If you a…

I also think that focussing on Ipad is not helpful. But some kind of e-reader integration is clearly going to be important (and note that iPad is not based on e-paper and thus, at least in my view, worse than readers based on proper e-paper). This …

first check the .ris output file (the file that zotero exports and that you then import into endnote). Open it with a text editor. if the data you are missing appear there, you only have to fix the RIS-endnote-import filter. Which is fairly easy and…
-
you have to try to move either the contents of the fields that do not import into different fields in endnote (with change and move fields). Or you have to change the RIS field with search and replace in the text editor. For example, if you change t…

or you can have a saved search with search for added in the last XXX days. Then you have a folder that only shows the most recent items.
-
Even if track changes is on, it should actually not show the remade citations and deletions and additions. At least if I delete a section in word and replace it with the same text track changes ignores it.
-
this is not correct endnote input. in Endnote, all authors have to spearated by a break. You can fix this in endnote with edit/change text, and then replace all commas in author field with a break.

+1

wow, thank you so much.
-
There are some very minor problems with the style, sorry to bother you again: - if I omit the author in the in-text citation it gives as output: Miller (, 2008) instead of Miller (2008): The comma and the blank space after it have to go. - Weirdly, …

My comment did not refer to "add place" but to the suggestion to have a ranking/voting system for feature requests. Maybe this theme needs its own thread...
-
this thread fell asleep unfortunately and I do not even know whether the zotero team took notice of it. What is the way to go? Shall the foz set up this outside of zotero? Is zotero working on it, even aware of it?
-
for those interested, the upcoming entourage edge combines a netbook and an e-reader. It runs android and if firefox could be made to run on android, then one could run zotero on it and have a perfect integration of zotero and e-book. One could poss…

just copy and paste/drag and drop the contents of one into the other

noksagt said: "But EndNote will still get that wrong when it imports them. You can see for yourself by exporting an RIS from EndNote (which will contain attachments) & re-importing it into EndNote (which will put the attachment information into…

there should be a link on top of the style repository-page: http://www.zotero.org/styles to the zotero reference test pane preview page mentioned by Dan/adamsmith. the only mention of the test pane in the documentation is here: http://www.zotero.o…

agreed, ideas and kvetch is much nicer, though I have no idea how difficult to implement.
