Do any of Sente's current export formats have links to PDFs?
-
If this is taken up, there should be some mechanism to handle the snapshots. I'd rather have an older "last accessed" date in a bibliorgraphy than a date that was more recent, but is associated with changes from the version I was trying to cite. N…

You could use MODS with UnAPI. There is no way to embed it a'la COinS. Depending upon the license and the language of the OPAC, I might be able to point you to starting code.
-
MODS XML is a straight forward and rich format & is probably more widely supported over UnAPI.

Zotero 1.5 is already in public beta (e.g. everybody can already use it if they wanted to play guinea pig). When the stable version is released, everyone will of course be able to use it.

Tags are put into many of the export files. They show up as keywords in RIS, for example.

I would think that it would be relatively fast to check to see if the present URL is in the Zotero database, so this might be a useful feature request. I don't know how quick checking for diffs against an archived page would be, nor do I have a sug…

You can make data available to Zotero with UnAPI+MODS XML. This is very robust, isn't TOO difficult to setup (slightly harder than something like COinS, but certainly within the reach of a webapp developer). It is not 100% clear to me what you wan…

Can you be more explicit about what you wish to do? You can, of course, keep the database in the version control software of your choice as a binary blob. There might be some benefit of keeping a long term transaction log within the database, but …

Yes--this configure the "quick copy" style. You can even make it site-specific.
-
You can use both COinS and UnAPI on a page, in which case Zotero scrapes UnAPI. Zotero can import MARC21 over UnAPI.
-
For what it is worth, this has been discussed: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/2585/

First: Firefox 3 is strongly encouraged. Second: You may want to use the default storage location (your firefox profile directory) & just replace the "zotero" folder (after you have closed firefox) on your usb drive with the one on your des…

That is behaving as expected--Thinking Forth is the only reference on that page that has embedded metadata (COinS).

Zotero cannot "import" files in all of the formats that it can "translate" from web pages. However, it should be able to import MARC-formatted files. Try saving a MARC-formatted text file with a ".MARC" extension & selecting the "MARC" fil…

What do you mean by "reference page?" The word processor plugins will update the bibliography. If you are creating an rtf/html bibliography or generating a report from within zotero itself, then it will always make a new file. You can choose to c…

Italics aren't yet supported. You'd have to manually mark up an exported BibTeX file or would have to edit references in OO.o Writer or MS Word. You can use a lightweight markup language so that it will be easier to find what text needs to be cha…

Save the contents of the email to a text file & import into zotero (gear->import & select the file).

Zotero supports greek letters and numeric super/sub- script in all fields, as they are UTF-8 characters. Are the formatted fields actually in the BibTeX file? Endnote used to not be able to do that & I thought that even now, TeXers were en…

Import is for citation metadata from standard bibliographic file formats. If you want to import a document, use "Store copy of file..."
-
Your operating system should have tools to do this. You don't specify your platform, but all systems that Zotero is supported on have the ability to search for files recursively within a given directory (your zotero storage directory) with a given …

Author names in BibTeX must be separated by an 'and.' The Endnote style file should do this, so perhaps your original Endnote data is poor.

Sync will be available in v. 1.5, which is in public beta. Search for more info.

There is currently a release candidate, but the official release of OO.o 3.0 won't be until ca. Sept. 30th. There is an unofficial patch described to the "legacy" (basic) version of the extension that do work with the release candidate and the …

Which ILS do you use? Many allow you to exposed metadata (often MARC records) that Zotero can parse. If you use a custom ILS, COinS or unAPI are reasonable methods of data embedding that Zotero can recognize.
