What kind of changes did you make? No export/import route will preserve all data & you're likely better off manipulating the records in Zotero instead. But...if you really want to do this despite that advice: The bibtex translator is a file ca…

Is there functionality that is missing in the standalone version of Zotero? Unfortunately, changes to Firefox's architecture have made continuation of the Firefox version impossible. But the standalone version with the Firefox connector should pro…

There are BibLaTeX syles that define \enquote, which is probably why this works. Not all styles do this, though. So: this proposed change may break some documents, but there should be a relatively easy fix. I'm not aware of any reference manager th…

Is there a reason you're not either syncing or duplicating your data directory?
-
There's no end user way to change the search heuristic. The feature already searches other sources if a numeric identifier (doi/isbb) is found. Which other sources are you thinking of?
-
Confirm you've de-installed the Zotero firefox extension, as you will be using stand-alone from now on. Also ensure that you are using the 5.0.7 connector.
-
Is there a reason you're not using the Zotero Connector for Firefox since you have Zotero Standalone? [Also: have you used the Beta version?]
-
Hard to diagnose this without looking at the document (or even the library). If you have a copy of their document, I'd suggest toggling the field codes & seeing if the citationID matches. If it does, there is either a bug or an issue with corr…

The most common reason I've seen for this is that they have not cited the same record within Zotero, and that there are actually two entries in the Zotero database for either the same resource or for a very similar resource. Have you verified this …

I'm unable to replicate this. The style's "container" macro already calls for a ", " separator between secondary contributors and the container title for any type other than blogs and webpages. Are you sure you're using the latest version of the st…

biblatex expects dates to be formatted this way. You should modify your style or language preferences in your document. For example: \usepackage[backend=biber,dateabbrev=false,language=australian]{biblatex} should yield: 5 December 1979

The example link I provided imports a duplicate doi line with the default translator. But i think that's a minor flaw that should be fixed, rather than relying on the doi translator for that and other sites.
-
Did you prefix the doi with "DOI:"? The current CSL style should work. As an example, please import this book record: http://epubs.siam.org/doi/book/10.1137/1.9780898718713 The APA that zotero generates is: Antoulas, A. (2005). Approximation of La…

This is planned for future versions and there is a work-around now: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/62819/doi-field-for-books

Select multiple items, drag to a tag in the tag selector.

Sorry for the issues you've experienced. However, as there's no way that Zotero would create a directory called 'files', I think that the most likely explanation is that something other than Zotero is causing that havoc on your machine. Since you di…

I think you might be referring to the window ornaments that are common to Mac OS X. If so, you don't need to worry about the traffic lights. Follow the installation instructions. If you use stand alone, you'll need to install one or more Zotero Co…

Which style was used and which journal is the publisher requesting this change for?
-
No: sqlite, on which the Zotero clients depend, is inherently single user. It is technically possible to run your own zotero server, but this is not supported and only for very advanced users.

See, e.g.: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/63743/fixing-google-scholar-query-limit-reached-try-again-later But, in essence: no. You should probably wait that out and/or import these another way. If you used to use another citation manager, y…

https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/style_editing_step-by-step but note that there are already a ton of author-date styles. Browse https://www.zotero.org/styles?format=author-date&dependent=0 to see if you really need to make o…

Do you think this is a display issue or an import issue? If you add an abstract manually, does it show up? If that works, which sites are you importing from?
-
Is there an efficient way to deal with a problem like that? The best thing to do is fix the exporter you used, which is exporting ISSN as "IS" rather than the appropriate "SN". Failing that, you should probably fix it through find/replace in the ori…

What data would be missing?Among other things, collection information (as you've discovered) & the items will have new internal identifiers, so will not work with any Word/LibreOffice document that you've used them in. There may be other issues …

This is intended. And please note that import/export is not the best method of transferring a library
