The ideal solution may require a new zotero field (issue-title), as that is semantically distinct from series-title and series-text (note well, though, that NIH's use of these terms is for a 'section' within a journal, rather than the collection of …

Where would you put this information in a BibTeX entry? I can't think of any BibTeX style that has this concept of a special section or special issue either.
-
It is unclear how citations are placed into your document now. If there are none, you would want to use the zotero word processor plugin to insert them, one-by-one. If there are already citations, you will need to replace them. If your citations …

Do you want a bibliography containing all of your Zotero references? If so, you probably want to Right-Click to Create Citation/Bibliography

I'm not affiliated with and do not have experience with that site. I am aware of it only because I've seen it used by others, but you'd need to do your own due diligence. However, I will note that the minimum is $5 (write in) and that yes, it is de…

There are programs that allow this kind of bounty system. For example https://www.bountysource.com/trackers/348214-zotero Bounties have been discussed a few times on this forum. Many are skeptical that there'd be critical mass to steer the core de…

See Dan's note: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/20922/donating/#Item_10 If you find Zotero useful, you may consider subscribing to Zotero File Storage & this will support development.

Have you tried disabling proxy redirection in Zotero?

I would prefer an independent translator over one which is based on MODS XML.Sure. This was mostly a suggestion for NYELPC, who have a more immediate need. The Zotero MODS translator is quite robust. The MODS->MARC21slim XML stylesheets seem r…

Thanks for the link to the Unimarc XML translator. I hadn't seen that before, but it seems promising. Another possible conversion path would be to use Zotero's MODS XML as an intermediate format and go to MARC using LoC-provided stylesheets: http:…

Bibutils is multi-platform, so you can use it somewhere that isn't linux too.

What are you trying to do? What OS do you use?

ASM took down the gist before I saw it. Biblioscape can export to a text file (or, alternatively, any number of other formats, including HTML). It seems likely from aurimas's description that ASM exported to some bibliographic format into somethin…

There should be no reason to use Endnote & it only adds a bit of confusion (as we can't diagnose where fields go missing without having you provide the intermediate files you've made). Biblioscape 9's documentation states that it can export to …

The BibTeX entry he pasted in this thread was complete. I assume that the gist was a miscopy. The first gist shows ~121 bibliographic entries. In a pinch, this can be forced into RIS or some similar delimited format. Most of the entries are span…

Get rid of the terminal ampersands in those spans & many will work. View the bottom of the page in a browser, though: you also have to cleanup some html encoding. The empty entities work in Zotero, but they're not aesthetic & may break oth…

With the caveat that I've not used TextCite, I'd note two things: (i) it seems to replicate some of the note-taking functionality available in Zotero but not available in the other programs listed (so you may also want to say what features you are m…

I've asked this of others, so I'll ask you too, mostly out of curiosity: would the option of end-to-end encryption in Zotero make a difference here, or would you still need/want to use a local server? You didn't ask it of me, but I'll be happy to ans…

when i googled it - i couldn't find any reviews or comparisons to zotero or endnote etc.Comparison of reference management software on Wikipedia (and refer to the external comparison that are linked there).does zotero allow me to view my notes in a …

We might be able to work around this, but it seems like something that we should prod sente about. Having repeated tags/fields in BibTeX can lead to other breakage. There files should be listed under a single field, as JabRef does.
-
While sente is using an uncommon field here, I'd not be opposed to importing 'notes' into zotero notes (just as we do for 'annote' and 'comment', now).

It may also be the umlaut. What is the real path to the file? Does putting: Q:\10_Projekte\Beschaemte_Wissenschaft\10_Material\Literatur\Citavi_Beschämte_Wissenschaft\CitaviFiles\Anderson 2011 the problem of plagiarism .pdfin your browser's locatio…

The first slash is there to escape the colon after the drive letter. I think that Windows should be able the double slashes, but I don't think the URL handler assumes that you can escape characters (and I don't think most other apps use them) & …

@article{Adetunji:2012kz,Based on that key suffix and the number of records you indicated, you might also check to see if there are duplicate records in the larger BibTeX file describing this (or a similar) resource in case you snagged the wrong one…

To be sure: it was worth asking. If you have examples of where this causes other tools to break, I'd like to know. I'm not sure if we'd be able to do much about that, but it is good to at least know what limitations this choice might have.

I'm not sure I see the upside of exporting '--'. Which tools are confused by it? Many of the TeX transcodings were inherited from code by Matthias Steffens. He'd have to speak to this one. However: '--' is a ligature and not all fonts have that …
