So I don't know why Safari is calling that URL (to check whether it's live perhaps), but the CAYW picker popping up when that URL is called is the expected behavior.
-
My forum id is @emilianoeheyns -- if it's possible to merge these accounts to leave only emilianoheyns it'd be much appreciated. CAYW ought to work -- I can just click that link you posted and the picker comes up. Can you send a BBT error report?
-
Would it be possible for me to get a copy of that log?
-
Technically, the BBT database is accessible to other plugins so the citekeys can be read from it.
-
The BBT status for Juris-M5 is currently unknown because I haven't been able to start Juris-M in my test environment; someone is working to make that happen (https://github.com/Juris-M/zotero/issues/34) but I don't have the time to dive into why Jur…
-
If you open an issue at https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/issues I can get you a test build that offers such keys. No guarantees on whether this will be merged into a release, given the points above.

I've transformed that code into an NPM package (https://www.npmjs.com/package/universal-citekey-js), but I'd actively recommend against using it in the current state, for the following reasons: 1. they can't claim universality and then maintain a "…

I have to add that Zotero didn't break anything in the move from 4 to 5, it's just that detecting that a search was being exported used *very* invasive monkey-patching of Z4. I want to really scale back the complexity of monkey patching BBT does, ce…

Producing these "universal citekeys" wouldn't be hard, but I'd question the universality of them when their proposal reads "reserved for future use by Mekentosj". They also apparently didn't get the memo on https://www.kalzumeus.com/2010/06/17/false…

(for the benefit of other who may stumble in here, export of these groups works fine in Zotero, it's just BBT auto-export that's currently missing)
-
Which I could do, if I could see that the export being performed by the user was initiated from a search "collection".
-
I'm actively involved in the development of course, but I did encourage users to make their interest known; as it involves a change in Zotero, I thought it'd be good to have clear it's not just me looking to expand BBT on theoretical grounds.
-
Wait - did you just upgrade from Zotero 4 to 5?
-
You're right - my mistake, and I apologize.
-
Yet I see no issue report from you on https://github.com/Juris-M/zotero-odf-scan-plugin/issues strangely enough? Why not talk to the people who can actually fix this? And nothing is "foisted" on you here. Zotero puts out upgrades very carefully and …

The above reference imports cleanly with BBT.
-
The BBT plugin can give you drag-and-drop Zotero Select links.

It should be possible to have either one of those two projects dump out a format that can be read cleanly by BBT; one the the import-export translators that's included ("BetterBibTeX JSON") is designed for as lossless import as is possible (importer…

I use this script for initial install (which puts it in ~/bin/zotero and adds a menu shortcut to it), but after that, the built-in upgrade system has worked without problems for me.
-
It doesn't look at file size or file names, just file types. I'm open to suggestions (but short on time, so no promises). It should be fairly fast because it does so little. No idea on execution time. Should be highly dependent on your system, but …
-
AAMOF it doesn't even do that, it asks Zotero whether the path exists (which works for both stored files, linked files and snapshots) and then tags (or untags, if the problem has been fixed) the attachment as appropriate. It does not open the file i…
-
Ah no I generally prefer users to make the issue rather than me.
-
No worries, it's not my first language either.
-
My apologies for requiring a github account, but it's impossible for me to organize the work otherwise.
-
@rgv_ I don't see any other thread, but if you want me to make changes to bbt, you'll have to open an issue at https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/issues . I can't track my work here properly.
-
That's also specific for the use of citeproc-js. Exporters get programmingLanguage.
-
Uh, that must be contributed text, it doesn't look like how I'd phrase it myself. It will just (un)tag attachments, nothing else. Normal people would say this is solid and there's no potential damage to your library, and certainly no known problems…
-
Ha, got it, it does show up in "programmingLanguage" for "computerProgram". So @rgv_ , if you want to join me on https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/issues, we can get this sorted.
-
@bwiernik so this is a special case then for computerProgram? It is only there that "language" is mapped to "genre"? I see that internally, computerProgram has a "programmingLanguage" field that is not mapped to a base field. Is that the field that …
