Turns out BBT already has this, I just forgot: https://retorque.re/zotero-better-bibtex/installation/preferences/export/index.html#export-language-as
-
Looks like you're right, apologies. Please open an issue on github.
-
For the short term, you can put this in your preamble: \DeclareSourcemap{ \maps[datatype=bibtex]{ \map{ \step[fieldsource=langid,fieldtarget=language] } } }
-
Oh wouldn't you know it, biblatex-chicago considers itself the standard biblatex, and that does have a language field edit: instead of the langid field apparently. Swell.
-
Please report BBT issues on https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/issues According to the biblatex manual, there is no field language, just langid/langidopts. language a bibtex field (or more specifically, a babelbib field). If you hav…

You can't currently change the path. As things are you have to delete the auto-export and set up a new one.
-
There is a way to insert relax commands in BBT, but I'd prefer it if we do support on the BBT issue list. You already have something there, but there we're diagnosing why the solution you already chose doesn't work for you, and none of the informati…
-
Make sure to pin your keys if you use the extra route - the extra field containing the crossref won't update when the citation key of the entry its pointing to changes. It's a paradigm that's strangely particular to bibtex. I hope that if book/cha…

There's not enough information in Zotero to do it automatically (I can't assume relations are always crossrefs), but manually it could be done by adding tex.crossref: speatce2000 to the extra field.
-
You're gorniyy on github right? We're still working on the other issues you filed together, we can close it when we've handled them all.
-
addressed on the BBT github repo.
-
this is a problem in mdnotes, a fix for it has been made available.
-
But if you open an issue on https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/ I will have a look.
-
Not before import (without writing code to transform your bib file), no, but one possibility is: download JabRef and rename the tags field to keywords. Import the file into Zotero Per tag: create a folder select the tag on the tag selector (bottom …
-
all 5 of those messages refer to https://github.com/daeh/zotero-markdb-connect, not BBT. I don't see how BBT is involved in this.
-
That will work for 6 and 7 in fact.
-
btw I'm the maintainer of the zotero package for x86 chromebooks. This is just too funny. Thanks man, I needed a laugh.
-
"git is entirely web based" LOL.
-
I think accusing Zotero to be a vector for "crapware" (or being crapware itself) is pretty hostile, no?
-
That "crapware" allows PDF text extraction, OCR, git integration, and much more, all without sending your personal stuff off to a server out of your control. None of this "crapware" (and I challenge you to name a single piece of "crapware" that Zote…

I just learned last week that Zotero 7 has been out for monthsthe beta. While 7beta is fully usable, it's not a formal release yet, and things are still being added/fixed. There's a feature missing from BBT pending such an addition to Zotero.
-
better bibtex is not disabled on the beta. It's been 7-compatible since May.
-
It's out of my control when I can add this back. Zotero is working on the change that allows me to add it back, but it's not finished, and I know no ETA for it to be finished. If you downgrade to Zotero 6 (Zotero 7 is beta after all), the citation k…
-
I occasionally come here, but I do my support on my github project page. The citation key is only visible in the middle list (if you enable it), display of the citation key in the item details screen is pending a change by the Zotero developers.
-
Zotero 6 or 7?
-
I see here and there that spaces would be allowed by bibtex, but on overleaf my MWEs with spaces in the key fail. BBT removes spaces from keys unconditionally.
-
That suggestion isn't a tool, I'm just saying it would be fairly easy to make a bespoke script that converts CSV into RIS. If you know how data from the CSV would map to Zotero fields I wouldn't mind making such a script for you.

Loads of columns to choose from
-
Whether collections come into play depends on what the Category/Subcategory is supposed to do (I've mapped them to keywords now but the "Sub" hints at something hierarchical), and there's a column called "FileName".
