(and even though it is true it is 3rd party, it's not a build as such; the debs from the PPA download the official binaries from the Zotero servers during install and just put the files in the right places -- I don't really build Zotero myself)
-
Turns out it was related to JabRef-4 compatible export, which doesn't use the cache. I've added a warning in the preferences discouraging use of JR4-compatible exports.

That must be the storage scanner, but that only marks attachments in Zotero for which the file does not exist on disk -- I don't actually delete files or items, just add or remove so the user can take action. It also does not work the other way arou…

I've just issued a pull request on the Zotero build setup which would allow them to build their own debs as part of their release, but I install my own .debs as part of my tests I run on CI, so they seem to work consistently.

I reckon it would be set up as any other desktop application -- installed on each machine (even if that machine is a virtual machine or a shared server), each syncing with the Zotero servers in a group library.

If you're on Windows, Everything Search (https://www.voidtools.com/) will give you a fast way to locate all your docx files.

Download https://gist.github.com/retorquere/3c3ccc3857dd0ad68546cf7d2256e383 Install Python 3 Export the references you're interested in to CSV in Zotero to e.g. My Library.csv run cited.py "My Library.csv" Document1.docx some\path\to\other\doc…

If by "client scripting" you mean "scriping from something outside Zotero" (because if it's inside Zotero you'd usually stick it inside a plugin): if you zip up https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/tree/master/test/fixtures/debug-bridg…

Should also still be possible by controlling the bibtex style using its macros, but this should do the trick: if (Translator.BetterBibTeX && item.itemType == 'journalArticle') { delete this.has.url }
-
Just tried and it works for me on several machines (locally and downloaded from Travis CI)
-
Right -- forgot that, I did that from looking at the source, forgot the prefix.
-
Yep, should work. I can't test it though, I don't have windows.
-
Cool. The wget version should now work too.
-
It's possible but only really feasible if you've synced your data to the Zotero servers (which is free if you don't sync attachments). You can type "open zotero://library/collections/:objectKey" in a shell, or create a website shortcut to that addre…

When I download stuff from EBSCO I get normal RIS. I don't have access to PsycINFO but from your snippet this particular mangling of RIS should be detectable and importable -- there are already two other RIS-ish importers in Zotero (MEDLINEnbib and …

I'll let you know after the qualifier. What kind of filtering do you mean?

The cosmic coincidence here is that I had 10 minutes to spare - a rare occasion indeed!

https://gist.github.com/3d572d75e6c85c18edd445c33bb07e2e will do the job.

From what I see, you have a collection set up for auto-export that has about 3.5k items in it. When you are changing items, BBT will wait up to one second to see if you're going to make more changes, then kicks off the auto-export. Exports in Zotero…

There is indeed -- I get the most information if you first enable debug logging from the help menu (which will affect performance in itself because BBT is *very* chatty in debug mode). There is a "Report BetterBibTeX errors" option in the help menu …

I'd *seriously* advice against setting permissions to 777. 777 can be *sort of* ok if you're very sure only you access this machine, but it's a seriously bad habit to get into. You could try uninstalling zotero from that ppa and installing from htt…

If you want bbt keys, it's possible with a little work: https://retorque.re/zotero-better-bibtex/configuration/#citeprocnotecitekey
-
Can't help you there, I don't manage that repo. Can you check who the owner is of /opt/zotero (where I think the PPA installs to)? It should be root but I screwed that up too (now fixed), and when it's root-owned, a "Check for updates" (unless ran…

But the version you upgraded from, how was that installed?

Where did you install 5.0.60 from? PPA or https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-deb?

If you have a working floppy or CD drive: https://www.plop.at/en/bootmanager/index.html If not, it *is* possible to resize your harddisk, install a minimal 64 bit Ubuntu, boot to that and reclaim the space previously used for the 32 bit install, bu…

The new release is out, thanks for reporting this.

That would be two separate commands: sqlite3.exe E:/Zotero/zotero.sqlite "TRUNCATE translatorCache;" sqlite3.exe E:/Zotero/zotero.sqlite .dump > dump.sql
-
@dstillman thanks; in that log I see that BBT is very chatty, but I don't see anything that would affect startup. The "errors" in the log are not actually errors -- in the previous BBT version I reported BBT log output that came too long after a ite…

Damn. That makes your system about 12 years old. A Raspberry Pi could actually be an upgrade. Just sayin... You can try running grep flags /proc/cpuinfo | grep ' lm ' in a shell. If that gets you lines starting with flags, you have a 64-bit capable…
