Cool, I've removed the FK code too, seeing as how it's not going to do anything anyhow right now. Is there a projected) timeline for 5.0?
-
.22 is out, removing the pragmas. Again, sorry for the disruption.
-
I've removed them, tests are running, a new release will be cut automatically when they pass. Sorry about that. 4.0 runs without foreign key constraints then?
-
@Meunders: I have created an issue to track this problem at https://github.com/ZotPlus/zotero-better-bibtex/issues/179.
-
I would indeed strongly prefer to do this on the issue tracker at https://github.com/ZotPlus/zotero-better-bibtex/issues, but I'll take whatever I can get in terms of problem reports.
-
It'd be a minor change to export libraries, I just want to do more performance testing before that goes out. The plumbing is all there.
-
Better BibTeX has a built-in auto-export that you can set to trigger when Zotero is idle. It uses extensive export caching, too, so the performance hit should in any case be a lot less -- I've seen order-of-magnitude speedups.
-
Auto-export is now shipping. Documentation still needs work, somewhere during the next week.
-
BBT doesn't do that anymore; it has it's own translator IDs, and cleans up its translators on uninstall. Removing BBT should also remove the bundled translators -- if not, that's a bug.
-
As of 0.9.0 better bibtex has a quite performant auto-export built in (only for the "Better X" translators, it uses an internal cache). Any problems that might crop up, please report them at https://github.com/ZotPlus/zotero-better-bibtex/issues

Perhaps not RTF directly, but I think it should be possible to install report customizer (https://github.com/ZotPlus/zotero-report-customizer), deselect everything but notes, run a report, save it, and then open that using Word/LibreOffice. If still…

I'm in the final stages of implementing an auto-export built into BBT. This will only work with BBT as it hooks into BBTs caching mechanism to keep performance acceptable, but I'm seeing order-of-magnitude (or more, on a fast system) speedups where …

A fix has been released.
-
Can you provide me with debug output as described in https://github.com/ZotPlus/zotero-report-customizer/issues/9 ? I can't reproduce this locally.
-
'Pandoc Citation' uses the BBT citation keys; '$' signs are filtered out by default, although they'll be retained if you add them yourself.
-
I don't see the problem myself natch, but that doesn't negate the fact that It Should Just Work (tm). I really want to fix this.
-
I think it's safe to assume it's a problem in the plug-in (I'm the author btw). If a single entry already shows the problem I'd love to get a Zotero RDF export of it to test with.
-
@corptoxbio how large is your library? Would it be feasible for me to get a copy?
-
Or today, even.
-
I was in the midst of a code cleanup, but it will most likely drop this weekend.
-
Is there already a place to discuss the possibility of adding citation-label?
-
You could see whether http://zotplus.github.io/link-local-files/index.html does something (close to) what you want (FD: I am the author of it)
-
It's in 0.7.30, but off by default.
-
Go to Preferences->Export->Default Output Format, and select the "Pandoc Citation" style. Pandoc Citation is included in BBT.
-
@Mykhailo: my scheme is a little rusty; does that simply replace the three-field `file` entry by just the path? That would be easy to implement into the translator itself.
-
Full disclosure: I am the author, and while BBT adds features I think are useful, the built-in translator moves more carefully, and while I try to test comprehensively, you will probably experience an occasional breakage. I try to keep to same-day f…
-
BBT does the same if you enable the option in the preferences.

Hi, I only visit these forums occasionally; in this case, my github stats led me here :) Right you are, on re-reading, yours weren't really questions; let's go with "feedback on comments" and split the difference. I did not intend the name…

Hi @karnesky, thanks for checking the plugin out. To answer your questions: Yes, I do think my translators are structurally better for BibTeX users. The translators, accompanying support code in the plugin and the build system have now moved on…

https://github.com/ZotPlus/zotero-better-bibtex implements this export behavior.
